NMT-2024: what applicants need to know about the registration procedure to participate in the test

It should be recalled that registration for this year’s national multi-subject test will start on 14 March. The procedure will last until 11 April 2024. Here is an explanation for future NMT participants on how to register for the important entrance test.

In 2024, NMT participants will be registered in paperless form. Each test participant must create a personal electronic account. To create one, applicants will need to use a special service available on the website of the Ukrainian Centre for Educational Quality Assessment. The function of creating an account will be available simultaneously with the start of registration, i.e. from 14 March.

To register for participation in the NMT, a prospective applicant, after creating an electronic account, must perform the following actions in it:

  • enter personal data and information on participation in the NMT;
  • upload scanned copies or photocopies of registration documents in electronic form;
  • confirm their willingness to participate in the NMT;
  • send the entered information and copies of documents to the regional centre for processing;
  • generate a Certificate of the 2024 NMT.

Which copies of documents will be required for registration?

To register, future applicants will need:

  • a passport or other identification document on the basis of which registration for participation in the NMT is carried out;
  • a document confirming information on education: a certificate from the place of study confirming that the person is completing a full general secondary education in 2024 (for this year’s graduates), or a certificate of full general secondary education (for graduates of previous years);
  • a document confirming the entered information on the registration number of the taxpayer’s account card (RNTAC): a taxpayer’s card or a passport of a citizen of Ukraine, which contains the RNTAC data.

If necessary, the applicant must attach copies of:

  • a certificate of change of name, or a marriage certificate, or a certificate of divorce (for persons whose documents contain discrepancies in personal data);
  • a medical report on the creation of personalised (special) conditions for passing the external evaluation in the form of primary accounting documentation No. 086-3/о “Medical report on the creation of personalised (special) conditions for passing the external independent evaluation”, approved by the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Ministry of Health of Ukraine No. 1027/900 of 29 August 2016 (for persons with special educational needs);
  • a notarised translation into Ukrainian of the documents submitted for registration (for persons submitting documents in a foreign language);
  • a document confirming the reason for not entering information about the registration number of the taxpayer’s account card;
  • a document confirming the reason that makes it impossible to participate in the main sessions of the NMT.

Important! Each copy of the document that a potential participant of the NMT will upload in the personal account must be a scanned or photographed copy of its original in the form of a separate file in .png or .jpg format with a size not exceeding 1 MB; the image must be clear and full-size (without cropping the sides of the document); the text on the image must be legible and readable.

Choosing the additional block subject

During the registration process, the applicant will also be able to choose the subject of the additional block and the location in Ukraine or abroad where they will be during the days of the NMT. This information will be used to assign participants to temporary examination centres.

The subjects included in the main block of the NMT – the Ukrainian language, mathematics and history of Ukraine – will be automatically indicated in the registration service, so the applicant will only need to choose one of the subjects of the second block of the NMT from the proposed list.

It is not possible to choose several subjects of the additional block, as the NMT will be holistic (consisting of two blocks, which will include four subjects), so registration for testing in fewer or more subjects is not possible.

Changing personal data in the electronic account

After submitting the information for processing by 15 April, you will be able to make changes to the following information in your personal account:

  • the name of the subject of choice, for which the applicant wishes to take the test;
  • the location in Ukraine or abroad where the applicant will be on the days of the NMT;
  • the need to take the NMT during additional sessions.

The Certificate is a confirmation of the fact of registration for participating in the NMT. The applicant will be able to generate it in their personal account if the regional centre confirms the applicant’s registration for participation in the NMT. This feature will be available no later than seven calendar days after the date of submission of the information for processing.
