National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” received a Certificate from the National Bank of Ukraine for active participation in the All-Ukrainian educational initiative “Marathon of Good Deeds”, high civic position, assistance to those in need, significant contribution to raising the culture of charity among young people.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the russian federation on the territory of our country, the proactive, persistent student youth of the Poltava Polytechnic became part of a coordinated teamwork on the “Marathon of Good Deeds” project, providing massive humanitarian aid to internally displaced persons, military units and all those who need it. It should be noted that in just one month, the volunteers of the Poltava Polytechnic presented their experience at the “We Win Together” forum, the future translators collected funds for fuel for the Armed Forces of Ukraine unit, collected half a hundredweight of feed for the detention centre for homeless animals and walked its residents.
“For me personally, volunteering with the beginning of the war opened up people in a new way – those with whom I study and work, whom I met recently, whom I hardly know. You know, those striking changes, social transformations that are currently taking place in the country and in the consciousness of every Ukrainian, motivate to work even more actively on the volunteer and humanitarian front. After all, we do the most important thing – we gather around high moral principles, mercy and readiness to help regardless of the circumstances.
It’s nice when the people with whom you do a joint business, raise funds or give charitable aid to the military, are literally on the same page as you. You can do anything, because you have a circle of like-minded people who care about the fate of their own Motherland. I express my sincere gratitude to the volunteers of the Poltava Polytechnic and personally to the rector, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko, for all-round support, positive motivation and boundless faith in our strength. We are grateful to the National Bank of Ukraine for the high award of our joint charitable activity. Let’s get closer to Victory together!” – said a participant of the marathon, a fifth-year student of the specialty 053 “Psychology” Yaroslav Perederii.
As it is known, the National Bank of Ukraine organized and held a series of educational events on the topic of charity as part of the worldwide initiative “Giving Tuesday” – an international charity movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people around the world to do good.
“Marathon of Good Deeds” is an educational initiative where children and young people learn charity, do good deeds and share them on social networks. The marathon lasted from November 29 to December 19, 2022 and was implemented with the assistance of the USAID project “Financial Sector Reform”.

The initiative is designed to encourage Ukrainians to do good deeds and increase the culture of charity among the younger generation. The event took place within the framework of the #GivingTuesday global movement.
