National Scientific Center "Hon. Prof. M.S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute" is one of the oldest state forensic institutions in Ukraine and the post-Soviet space, founded by the prominent forensic scientist and criminologist Mykola Serhiiovych Bokarius. Next year, the institution will celebrate its centenary, and during this time, unique experience has been accumulated and a powerful scientific school, which trains highly professional experts has been formed. The institute has in its arsenal equipment and techniques that have no analogs in Europe. Forensic experts from all over the world, including the American continent, come to study. Unfortunately, due to the war, the efforts of experts are aimed at establishing the damage caused and finding evidence of criminal activity of the enemy.
The rector of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko and the director of the National Scientific Center "Hon. Prof. M.S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute" Oleksandr Kliuiev took part in the signing ceremony during the meeting of the Academic Council on the occasion of the Day of Science.
"Overcoming the challenges of war and upheaval in the country, the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" continues its active work and strengthens its partnership with leading Ukrainian scientific and educational institutions. Therefore, this year's Science Day in the conditions of war, without exaggeration, is historic. We are honored by the visit of Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine Oleksandr Mykolaiovych Kliuiev with a delegation of Kharkiv colleagues.
The main areas of cooperation between our university and the National Scientific Center are the implementation of joint research projects, the organization of joint scientific and cultural-educational events, scientific-practical and scientific-methodical conferences, mutual internship of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel. The agreement also provides for the involvement of academic staff of the university to perform examinations and expert research of the institute, in particular engineering and construction, oil and gas profiles as well as in the field of environmental protection. Work on applied developments and experimental research will be carried out with particular enthusiasm.
Mutual exchange of experience and cooperation is invaluable, and I am glad that Poltava Polytechnic as a scientific and educational center of the Poltava region has the potential in which such leading institutions of international level are interested, and this, in turn, allows us to improve the quality of educational services. Therefore, our signatures are on new pages of the history of our scientific centers! Everything will be Ukraine!" – commented Rector Volodymyr Onyshchenko.
The head of the Laboratory of Theoretical Research, Editorial-publishing and Scientific-methodical Activity, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor Anton Polianskyi and the Head of the sector of the Poltava branch of NSC FSI Tetiana Yehorova in the delegation were present live. Deputy Director for Scientific Work, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine Ella Simakova-Yefremian joined via the online mode.
"Rector of Poltava Polytechnic, Professor, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine Volodymyr Onyshchenko not only today hospitably met members of the NSC FSI delegation, but also provided places in the dormitory for those of our employees who were forcibly evacuated to Poltava.
The agreement is aimed at research, scientific-methodical and educational exchange and implementation of the outcomes of this cooperation in practice in order to promote the development of theoretical and methodological scientific basis, the introduction of achievements of leading domestic and international scientific schools and to improve the efficiency and quality of research works performed by institutions. The conclusion of this Agreement is designed to intensify cooperation between NSC FSI and Poltava Polytechnic, to improve the exchange of experience between institutions, and to increase the level of various types of research. Priority areas of possible cooperation forms are engineering-transport and transport-commodity, construction-technical and land-technical, linguistic, psychological, ecological and other types of research.
The partnership with the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" will contribute to the establishment of ties between representatives of various fields of scientific and practical activities and even greater unity of the scientific community, which is an urgent need in the context of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, as well as for the further restoration of our state after defeating the enemy. Together we will win! Glory to Ukraine!" – thanked the director of the NSC "Hon. Prof. M.S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute" Oleksandr Kliuiev.
The delegation got acquainted with the work of the Yuri Kondratyuk National University and its scientific schools, visited classrooms and the People’s Museum of the History of Poltava Polytechnic.
Poltava Polytechnic has agreements on partnership and cooperation in education, science, scientific and technical cooperation with leading Ukrainian universities and state institutions, including Poltava NDEKTs MVS of Ukraine, State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine, State Audit Service of Ukraine, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Recently, the specialists of the State Audit Service have passed a course of advanced training under the program "Work execution and control in construction".
