Selection Criteria: there are no strict limitations on specialisation or institute/faculty for participation in the competition. The key criterion is the ability to form a curriculum equivalent in ECTS volume, in accordance with the requirements of the Poltava Polytechnic educational program.

Curriculum Formation Procedure: students may choose courses from any faculty of the University of Vigo; the catalogue is available via a link. Courses are classified as follows:

  • “Taught in English”: disciplines where the teaching process is conducted entirely in English;
  • “English Friendly”: disciplines whose primary language is Spanish or Galician, but all learning materials, assignments, advisory support, and final assessment are provided in English;
  • standard courses: disciplines taught in Spanish/Galician (require prior agreement regarding the language barrier).

We draw the attention of all potential participants to the fact that the range of UVIgo disciplines is much broader, spanning from advanced engineering developments to the humanities. Students whose specialisations are not listed above must undergo an individual confirmation procedure for the recognition of their acquired learning outcomes. That is, if you are studying under a different educational program but believe you can form a curriculum at UVIgo that fully meets the requirements of your educational program, please get in touch with your Educational Program Guarantor for assistance in finding corresponding subjects in the UVIgo catalogue.

4. Accommodation and Mobility Participant Support

  • Accommodation: the host institution (University of Vigo) does not guarantee places in student dormitories. Therefore, program participants must independently organise their accommodation for the entire mobility period. Students are advised to start searching for housing in advance using online platforms for room rental or flat-sharing.
  • Integration Support (ESN Vigo): to facilitate adaptation and resolve initial issues, it is recommended to contact the Erasmus Student Network Vigo (ESN Vigo). They are the key support centre for international students in the city. Contact can be made via email: info@esnvigo.org.
  • Buddy Programme: ESN Vigo actively offers a unique “Buddy Programme”. Under this initiative, a local student volunteer from the University of Vigo is assigned to each newly arrived student. Your “buddy” will become your personal mentor and guide, providing assistance with city orientation, resolving domestic issues, and helping you integrate into local social life throughout your stay.

Procedure for Participating in the Erasmus+ Credit Academic Mobility Program Competition (for Students)

Step 1. Contacting the Graduate Department

The student contacts their graduate department to discuss the possibility of participation in the program.

The department compares the academic disciplines of the Ukrainian educational program the student is enrolled in with those of the University of Vigo for the I (Autumn) semester of the 2026/2027 academic year.

If the disciplines are agreed upon, the department prepares two official memos (in accordance with the mobility documents list). It informs the Dean’s (Director’s) Office of the need to issue a certificate of grades (academic transcript).

Students for whom the department has not prepared two official memos, and the Dean’s (Director’s) Office has not issued a certificate of academic performance – i.e., those without supporting documents confirming the possibility of recognising learning outcomes –will not be admitted to the English language test.

Step 2. Preparation of Personal Documents

The student prepares the following documents:

  • CV in English (PDF format with photo, maximum 2 pages);
  • Motivation Letter in English (up to 1 page, PDF);
  • Scanned copy of the international passport (first spread, PDF);
  • Passport-size photo (.jpg);
  • Certificate of English language proficiency (if available).

Motivation letters will be checked for plagiarism and for AI-generated content. Submitting the same letter for multiple mobility programs is prohibited.

Documents not formatted according to the requirements will not be accepted.

Step 3. Document Submission

The package of documents must be submitted simultaneously in electronic and hard copy formats through the department of origin to the International Relations Office (room 213-C).

Electronic submission address: interoffice@nupp.edu.ua
