On October 7-18, 2021 on the basis of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” a successful implementation of a large-scale educational project – International Online School “Business Processes and Marketing in the Field of Tourism: Modern Cases of Ukraine and EU Member States” – took place. Active listeners of the online school are enterprising, ambitious young people, students of leading higher education institutions majoring in “Tourism”, “Marketing”, “Entrepreneurship, Trade and Exchange”, “International Economic Relations” and are seeking to implement their own projects.
Long-term scientific, educational and strategic partners of Poltava Polytechnic have joined the development of the International Online School program – scientists from the University North (Sveučilište Sjever), Croatia; Odlar Yurdu University, Azerbaijan; Bialystok University of Technology, Poland; ISMA University, Latvia. Classes were held in a format convenient for each participant, and communication with mentors charged gifted student youth with vital energy, optimism.
According to the Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law of Poltava Polytechnic, Doctor of Economics, Professor Iryna Chernysh, this is not the first time the university has implemented such research and educational projects with the assistance of international partners.
“For a long time, Poltava Polytechnic has been successfully working on a kind of “formula of success”, according to which “personal accomplishment + teamwork = success”, where for each mathematical action there are efforts of the entire scientific and pedagogical staff of the university led by the rector, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko. Recently, we have been talking about a strong synergistic effect, which is manifested in fruitful cooperation with representatives of business structures, top management of leading companies, enterprises of Poltava region and Ukraine, establishing close partnerships with potential employers and attracting professionals in the field of foreign economic activity and tourism to practical preparation of our graduates. Dialogue of representatives of scientific economic schools, lecturers of Ukrainian and foreign partner universities, consolidation of joint efforts to develop innovative online courses and educational programs fill the content of the concluded agreements on scientific and educational cooperation with real cases. The team of Poltava Polytechnic is ready to continue working for a mutual result!” – commented the head of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law.
As part of the International Online School “Business Processes and Marketing in the Field of Tourism: Modern Cases of Ukraine and EU Member States” partakers together with mentors worked on and studied “living” examples of major trends in the global tourism industry, looking for effective ways to optimize business processes and developed individual marketing strategies that can be successfully implemented at the regional level.
It is worth noting that the training sessions were conducted in English, which allowed to coordinate the synergetic teamwork of those receiving higher education and academic staff of all project participants. The best drafts, hands-on team cases were presented by international partners at the highest level. Poltava Polytechnic project received the unanimous support and approval of the student and professional community.
“Our future plans are to continue working in this area, as we have someone to take cue from! Poltava Polytechnic has a powerful economic school, on the basis of the university there is the first startup school in the Poltava region, as well as projects of our students and lecturers have an interesting useful practical direction. Currently, the case of cooperation of the leading educational institution of Poltava region with stakeholders, foreign partner universities can be safely used as an effective innovation model. I wish my colleagues new significant achievements, creative ideas and not to stop on what is already achieved!” – wished the audience Head of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law of Poltava Polytechnic, Professor Iryna Chernysh.
It should be recalled that the Polytechnic presented Poltava innovation cluster at the festival “Sikorsky Challenge 2021: Ukraine and the World”.
Previously, scientists from Poltava Polytechnic exchanged creative management cases at an international conference in Bialystok, students studied the experience of interaction between public and local self-governments of Ukraine and Poland, as well as stakeholders discussed criteria for quality training and employment of specialists in international economics.
