"Pereiaslavska autumn-2022" Polytechnic athletes become the winners of the All-Ukrainian kettlebell sports tournament

Students and graduates of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" Dariia Yavir, Yelyzaveta Myrna, Yevhenii Ostapchuk, Oleksandr Svyrydenko, Ihor Havryshko won a set of awards of the All-Ukrainian tournament in kettlebell sports "Pereiaslavska autumn-2022", dedicated to the memory of Honorary Worker of Physical Culture and Sports of Ukraine Borys Sonko.

On October 22, the competition of the All-Ukrainian kettlebell sport tournament "Pereiaslavska autumn-2022", dedicated to the memory of the Honorary Worker of Physical Culture and Sports of Ukraine Borys Sonko, took place on the basis of Pereiaslav-Khmelnytskyi Hryhorii Skovoroda State Pedagogical University. About fifty professional athletes from different regions of our country demonstrated high results, excellent physical form as well as endurance, and the winner of the tournament became the national team of the Poltava region, which replenished its own treasury of awards with gold, silver and bronze medals. In total, athletes competed in five weight categories, performed the "guard jerk" exercise, where men were lifting a 24-kilogram weight for 12 minutes, and women performed a similar exercise with a 16-kilogram weight.

Students and graduates of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" Dariia Yavir, Yelyzaveta Myrna, Yevhenii Ostapchuk, Oleksandr Svyrydenko, Ihor Havryshko as part of the picked team of the Poltava region became gold, silver and bronze medalists of the All-Ukrainian tournament in kettlebell sports "Pereiaslavska autumn-2022". Poltava sportsmen and sportswomen became the best in the weight categories up to 63, over 63, 73 and 85 kg.

In particular, the master of sports of Ukraine, graduate of the master's degree of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the Poltava Polytechnic in 2021 Yevhenii Ostapchuk and the master of sports of Ukraine, student of group 202-FS of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the Poltava Polytechnic Oleksandr Svyrydenko won the silver and bronze medals of the tournament in the weight category up to 73 kg, making 287 and 283 lifts, respectively.

In the weight category up to 85 kg, the bronze medalist of the competition was the Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine, graduate of the master's degree of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", Ihor Havryshko, who made 302 lifts.

A candidate for master of sports, student of group 201-FS of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the Poltava Polytechnic Yelyzaveta Myrna, who performed 262 lifts, became the silver medalist of the All-Ukrainian Kettlebell Sports Tournament "Pereiaslavska autumn-2022" among women in the weight category up to 63 kg. And in the weight category over 63 kg, the undisputed leader and gold medalist of the tournament was the master of sports of Ukraine, student of the 102-mFS of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports, Dariia Yavir, who had 256 lifts in her personal record.

The winners and prize-winners of the prestigious sports tournament were awarded with gold, silver and bronze medals, cups and cash prizes in the amount of 3,000, 2,000 and 1,000 hryvnias, respectively. It is worth noting the fact that thanks to the comprehensive and financial support of the sponsors, the sportsmen-kettlebell lifters did not make contributions to participate in the competition, and those athletes who came to Pereiaslav from afar were even compensated for their travel expenses.

Poltava Polytechnic recently hosted the Poltava Region Youth Boxing Championships.

Previously, the cheerleaders of the Polytechnic became prize-winners of the Poltava City Championship, the Polytechnic students became the gold medalists of the Ukrainian Football Championships among athletes with hearing impairment, and the team of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports won the "Commonwealth Cup".
