Poltava Academic Symphony Orchestra presents its charity performance

Poltava Academic Symphony Orchestra led by People’s Artist of Ukraine Vitalii Skakun, soloist-violinist People’s Artist of Ukraine Yurii Kyrychenko, with soloists – Honored Artist of Ukraine Victoriia Yahidka, artist of Poltava Academic Music and Drama Theater named after M.V. Gogol Lidiia Kretova and People’s Artist of Ukraine Vasyl Holub performed pearls of musical classics as well as Ukrainian poetry.

“Poltava musicians presented their charity performance to Ukrainian victims of the war who are currently in Poltava as well as the university staff, who continue to fulfill their mission. As always, the best and unsurpassed! The concert to support the fighting morale of internally displaced persons and the Polytechnic team was an hour of inspiration, hope for the return of stolen life and peace, healing the soul with live classical music. Thank you for what you are doing, I thank the director of the orchestra Mykhailo Malko for supporting such a good cause. Poltava Polytechnic is always happy for your performances, and today more than ever, when we all need support. With each note, with each performed masterpiece of world classics and Ukrainian song, our Victory is approaching! We look forward to the orchestra's performance at the Victory concert, we believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine! Glory to Ukraine!” – said Rector Volodymyr Onyshchenko.

“We work on the cultural front!!! I am grateful to the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” for the cooperation and personally to the rector Volodymyr Onyshchenko for the warm welcome, flowers, kind words... It is always a pleasure to work with your colleagues. Poltava Academic Symphony Orchestra with the University team has done a sacred work to support internally displaced persons, whose home is currently Poltava. Our “creative barns” still have a supply of good music that helps to heal mental wounds. And, of course, the greatest gratitude to the ARMED FORCES OF UKRAINE!!!” – thanked the director of the orchestra Mykhailo Malko.

Earlier, Poltava actors staged an interactive play for temporarily displaced families, and artists of the Poltava Regional Philharmonic presented a concert “Good afternoon, we are from Ukraine”.
