On 9-13 June 2025, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Head of Drilling and Geology Department Yurii Vynnykov together with four Master’s students of the Educational and Research Institute of Oil and Gas of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Mariia Zaitseva, Liubov Bezdudna, Anastasiia Molodcha and Olha Prudnik participated in the international academic mobility program Staff Mobility For Training Erasmus+, which was held at the partner university of Poltava Polytechnic – AGH University of Krakow, Poland.
On August 23, 2022, Rector of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko and Rector of AGH University of Krakow, Professor Jerzy Lis signed an agreement concerning the possibility of studying under double degree and academic mobility programs. The agreement opened up unique opportunities for Poltava Polytechnic students to study for future specialists of Ukraine’s oil and gas complex at the Faculty of Drilling, Oil and Gas of AGH University of Krakow.
The first step in practical implementation of the agreement was the Intensive International Educational Program “NAWA SPINAKER”, which was successfully held at AGH University of Krakow on May 13-21 2023, and was participated by 6 students and a professor of Poltava Polytechnic, as well as students from Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
And so the second visit of Poltava students to their Polish colleagues took place, this time as part of the Erasmus+ Summer School (KA171). Besides Ukrainian students from Poltava and Ivano-Frankivsk, there were also Canadian students from University Alberta (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada). That is why, in addition to Professor Yurii Vynnykov, they were lectured by Professor Jan Ziaja (AGH University) and Professor Derek B Apel (University Alberta). In particular, according to the academic mobility program, Yurii Vynnykov conducted 8 hours of lectures: “Landslides: causes and factors, classifications, calculation methods”; “Construction on landslide areas”; “Geotechnical aspects of the objects of the oil and gas complex”; “Some Special Properties of Rocks”. Also, the achievements of Poltava Polytechnic were presented, and the exchange of educational and scientific experience with foreign colleagues took place in order to deepen cooperation between our university and the partner institution in the field of education and science. At the opening of the summer school, Poltava residents conveyed greetings from President of Poltava Polytechnic, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko and sincerely thanked their Polish colleagues for the invaluable support of Ukraine during the war.
Thus, the participation in Erasmus+ allowed Poltava Polytechnic representatives to get acquainted with the proven European educational experience in detail and clearly, and they can use it in the future to better train qualified specialists in oil and gas technologies, mining and geotechnical engineering in Ukraine.
Recently, Kseniia Verhal took part in an event on academic mobility in STEM fields of higher education; a PhD student of Poltava Polytechnic won the second place at a prestigious international competition in Vienna, a delegation of Polytechnic lecturers took part in the Erasmus+ academic mobility program at the Romanian partner university Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad, Associate Professor of Poltava Polytechnic Iryna Chernetska took part in the prestigious IVLP exchange program, supported by the US State Department, students of Polytechnic shared their impressions of the Erasmus+ internship at ISCAP (Portugal), the delegation of Polytechnic took part in the Academic Mobility under the Erasmus+ program within the ISCAP International Week, Students of Poltava Polytechnic shared their impressions of studying under Erasmus+ programs at the universities of Austria (Vienna and Eisenstadt), Estonia, Denmark, Spain, Slovakia, and Poland.










It should be noted that Poltava Polytechnic lecturers can participate in academic mobility programmes and internships, and students of Poltava Polytechnic have the opportunity to study abroad under the grant programmes of credit academic mobility for a semester or a whole academic year at the leading universities of Austria, Greenland, Denmark, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Norway, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Finland, and the Czech Republic.
