Poltava Polytechnic students become silver and bronze medalists of the XXII European Armwrestling Championship

On June 8-18, 2023, the XXXII European Armwrestling Championship took place in Chisinau (Republic of Moldova). More than 900 participants representing 31 countries participated in the international sports tournament.

Students of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" Ruslana Symonenko and Volodymyr Lytvyn participated in the competition as part of the national team, having demonstrated excellent physical form and high results of hard training.

According to the results of the competition, the athletes of the Poltava Polytechnic became the silver and bronze medalists of the Championship:

• Ruslana Symonenko, a student of group 302-FS of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports, won the third prize for the left hand, the second place for the right hand among young people and the third place for the left one, second place for the right one among adults.
• Volodymyr Lytvyn, a student of group 502-FS of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports, won the third place for the right-hand side.

In total, the students of the Poltava Polytechnic have 2 silver and 3 bronze medals in their treasury of sports awards.

A graduate of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" Artem Pysmak coaches the athletically gifted youth.

Previously, the team of the Poltava Polytechnic became the gold medallist of the All-Ukrainian competition among academic workers of the HEI in the billiard sport “Dynamic Pyramid – Solo” – the Siniakevich Cup.
