As part of the implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation between National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” and Wellsite Digital, students of the Educational and Research Institute of Oil and Gas have a unique opportunity to undergo practical training on modern equipment that meets international standards of oil and gas education.
The aim of the session was to deepen students’ knowledge of modern digital solutions in drilling, particularly in modeling coiled tubing and well operations during gas, oil, and water influx events.
The practical part of the session was conducted by Serhii Nos, Leading Specialist at Wellsite Digital, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Drilling and Geology of Poltava Polytechnic, and a proud alumnus of the University.

During the training, students explored the capabilities of Drilling Systems simulators, which allow full replication of production drilling processes and downhole operations. They learned how to respond to technological complications that may occur during drilling and improved their decision-making skills in realistic production conditions.
Such hands-on cases help students develop modern competencies essential for next-generation engineers – professionals capable of working effectively in the digitalized oil and gas industry. The use of innovative educational technologies is a key element in training highly qualified engineers who are in demand both in Ukraine and globally.
Poltava Polytechnic continues to actively develop partnerships with leading companies in the oil and gas industry, providing students with the opportunity to study according to modern standards and gain practical experience during their education.
The University expresses sincere gratitude to Ihor Vitryk, Director of Wellsite Digital, and the company’s team of professionals for their fruitful cooperation, continuous support of engineering education development, and contribution to innovative practical training of future oil and gas specialists in Ukraine.
