Our university is proud to follow the famous scientist’s beliefs, such as indifference of personal advancement and love to others, as he gave most of his income from the inventions for the needs of others. Polytechnic has Nadiia Kocherha People’s Museum of University History, the main task of which is to popularize Yuri Kondratyuk’s work in construction, mechanics and renewable energy fields. Students and post-graduate conduct and defense scientific research and articles on these topics, university holds scientific round tables, develops innovative projects and brings to life the most impossible ideas,” said PhD in History, Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Studies, Culture and Documentation, the Head of Nadiia Kocherha People’s Musem of University History Olena Vitrynska.

Rector of Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko greeted the audience, “Despite the lockdown limitations, difficult modern challenges, the university team continues the good old university traditions, one of which is to honor the memory of our famous compatriot. We remember very well how three years ago we opened the monument to the person whom our university is named after with the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Liliia Hrynevych. It is worth mentioning that the authors of the idea and its practical implementation are our architecture teachers led by Andrii Koniuk. The monument harmonizes with the university architectural and landscape ensemble so well that our students chose it as a symbol of their own success. Every year graduates take pictures with their Bachelor’s and Master’s theses near the monument. It is hard to come with a better positive motivation than Yuri Kondratyuk’s personality. And university continues popularizing innovation. The famous innovator’s ideas would now be called startups. It’s a pity there was no startup school like the one at our university during his life.

“I want to wish you all successes in the scientific and professional activity, in bringing your ideas to life. Because the most important thing is to dream and achieve success just like our well-known compatriot!

“On this occasion I would like to thank our partners, Poltava Museum of Aviation and Aerospace and its Director Andrii Pushkariov, who always support our events dedicated to the famous scientist.”
