Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and Infrastructure Development of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Bohdan Korobko and representatives of Poltava College of Oil and Gas, Director Ivan Badula, Head of the Cycle Well Drilling Commission Oleksandra Aheicheva, together with teachers Liudmyla Firsunina and Filipp Chmyhun, attended the professional event of the oil and gas community to discuss topical issues, share their experience and present the latest technologies in the field of hydrocarbon production stimulation, oil and gas industry and energy, including renewable and alternative energy sources.
The conference, organised by Newfolk NCC, brought together nearly 200 participants from different countries – leading experts in the energy industry.
The conference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, the State Service for Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine, Ukrnafta, as well as leading oil and gas companies DTEK Oil&Gas, Zakhidnadarservice LLC, Beiken Energy Ukraine, Burova Technika LLC, Geosynthesis Engineering, Weatherford Ukraine LLC, and Ukrtransgaz.
In his welcoming speech, Vice-Rector, Professor Bohdan Korobko thanked the representatives of oil and gas companies, who are the university partners, on behalf of Rector of Poltava Polytechnic, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko, for the successful results of the new cases in the educational activities, developing the educational and laboratory base and implementing new directions of cooperation in scientific work on a mutually beneficial basis as well as for the benefit of the energy security of our country.
The organisers of the conference noted the leading role of Poltava Polytechnic in training highly qualified personnel for the oil and gas industry as well as the leading energy companies of Ukraine.
President of the European Institute of Further Education (EIDV) Josef Zaťko during the XI International Oil and Gas Conference NEWFOLK NCC “Coiled Tubing. Hydraulic fracturing. Drilling Services. Geology and Geophysics” presented an official citation to the Head of Poltava Polytechnic for the important scientific, educational, cultural and intellectual cooperation between Ukraine and Slovakia.
It should be recalled that Poltava Polytechnic signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the European Institute of Further Education (EIDV).
“This recognition is a testimony to our commitment and ensuring the high quality of education and research.
Cooperation with the EIDV opens up new opportunities for our students and teachers for learning, research and professional development. We are confident that our partnership will facilitate the exchange of experience, knowledge and innovations that will be the key to success for our university and its graduates!” – commented Rector, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko.
The programme included thematic sessions and workshops by leading service companies. The participants discussed the development strategy of the oil and gas industry of Ukraine, oil and gas geology and modern production and stimulation technologies, drilling, drilling services and oil and gas equipment, green energy and the future of the oil and gas industry. More than 30 professional speakers from the public and private sectors delivered in-depth analysis and up-to-date information on various aspects of the oil and gas industry.
XI International Oil and Gas Conference NEWFOLK NCC “Coiled Tubing. Hydraulic fracturing. Drilling Services. Geology and Geophysics” has become a platform for important discussions and presentations highlighting new research, technologies and approaches in the oil and gas industry. Participants had the opportunity to attend professional presentations, participate in networking and exchange of ideas, as well as join topical discussions and panel discussions.
Recently, students of the Educational and Research Institute of Oil and Gas attended an open lecture by the top manager of occupational health and safety at DTEK Oil&Gas.
Earlier, Poltava Polytechnic signed a bilateral Memorandum of Understanding with SAIT, joined the Memorandum of Cooperation with SAIT, and SPE members held a networking meeting with representatives of Geosynthesis Engineering, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, a Memorandum of Joint Activities in the Scientific and Educational Spheres with KNUCA, a Memorandum of Cooperation with JSC Ukrgasvydobuvannya and several universities to improve oil and gas education in Ukraine.
