According to the updated ranking for January 2022 Webometrics Poltava Polytechnic has maintained its leadership among higher education institutions in the Poltava region and has risen several positions.
The highest academic ranking of higher education institutions has been exploring the web resources of more than 30,000 leading universities in the world every six months.
Among the TOP-100 Ukrainian higher education institutions Poltava Polytechnic is on the 67th place. In total, the ranking includes 313 Ukrainian universities.

The ranking system of educational and scientific institutions is based on a combined indicator that takes into account the amount of web content, as well as the impact of publications on the number of external citations.
Webometric is an analysis of all types of media information using scientometrics, bibliometrics and information approaches. Distinctive features of the Webometrics ranking are the sustainability of the methodology and the high dynamics of changes in the ranking indicators. While the methodologies of other rankings are constantly changing, the principles of Webometrics ranking remain invariable. Methods and approaches of assessment of educational institutions comply with the Berlin Principles on Ranking of Higher Education Institutions, approved as the main for comparative studies of national higher education systems by the International Ranking Expert Group (IREG), founded in 2004 by the European Center for Higher Education of UNESCO (UNESCO-CEPES) and the Institute for Higher Education Policy in Washington.
Earlier, Poltava Polytechnic was included in the world ranking of the best universities QS EECA University Rankings 2022, and in the ranking U-Multirank 2021 it is in the TOP-50 Ukrainian universities.
