National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" became a participant in the all-Ukrainian charity campaign "Brave Hryvnia", organized by the National Bank of Ukraine. The collection of 10, 50 kopecks and 1, 2, 5, and 10 hryvnias was underway at seven university locations, and students, teachers, employees, guests of the Poltava Polytechnic and all those willing to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine actively participated in the "mobilization" of coins for the needs of the front.
It was possible to send coins to the front through boxes installed on the campuses of the Poltava Polytechnic. The collection of coins lasted from October 3 to 16, 2022, teachers and students of the university willingly shared photos from the locations and spread information about the national action through Facebook and Instagram social networks.
The team of the National Bank of Ukraine awarded the academic, pedagogical and student team of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" with the diploma for their active participation in the All-Ukrainian charity campaign "Brave Hryvnia", support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, high civic position, patriotism and significant contribution to the approach of Victory.
"Anyone could join the national action and help the defenders of Ukraine. Students and teachers of structural subdivisions of Poltava Polytechnic took responsibility for participating in the action and collected coins altogether. It is nice to realize that even in this way, within the walls of our home university, we are helping our own army and making a personal contribution to our common great Victory!", – commented Head of the Educational Bank of the Department of Finance, Banking and Taxation Maryna Turchenko.
In total, during the national campaign, it was possible to collect almost 5 million hryvnias in coins for the needs of the Ukrainian army.
It should be recalled that students and teachers of the Department of Finance, Banking and Taxation of the Poltava Polytechnic made 600 hours of warmth for the defenders, the university students raised funds for a thermal imager for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in one evening, and the volunteers of the Polytechnic helped the children of IDPs to get ready to school.
Earlier, the mayor honored the youth of the Poltava Polytechnic for their significant contribution to the development of student self-government, the Polytechnic student Nikita Solovei was awarded by the Poltava community for high achievements in sports, and the university's student and scientific elite was awarded with the Rector's Citation.
