Back in February, the jury determined this year's laureates, among whom, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor of the Department of Germanic Philology and Translation of the Poltava Polytechnic Tetiana Kushnirova, was chosen, and now the solemn awarding of diplomas took place.
According to the First Deputy Chairman of the Poltava Regional Council, the Chairman of the jury Oleksandr Lemeshko, the awarding of the Prize is taking place at a difficult time for the country, but each of the residents of Ukraine makes their contribution to achieve victory.
The winner of the nomination "Scientific and pedagogical activity in higher educational institutions of the third and fourth levels of accreditation" – Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor of the Department of Germanic Philology and Translation of the Faculty of Philology, Psychology and Pedagogy of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" Tetiana Kushnirova was awarded for fruitful research work, implementation of innovations in education, activities related to the popularization and study of V. I. Vernadskyi's scientific heritage.
"In my opinion, it is extremely important that such a prize has been started in our region, because the Poltava region is rich in scientists known not only in our country, but throughout the world. V. Vernadskyi is a world-renowned scientist, the first chairman-president of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, a person who has carried out many useful scientific developments, so I am extremely honored to receive this award as a powerful incentive for further scientific, educational and professional achievements. Due to the invasion of Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine, the full development of science is impossible without the courage of our Armed Forces of Ukraine, so it will be correct, in my opinion, to transfer funds to support the defenders of our country," – commented the scientist.
The Prize of the V. I. Vernadskyi Poltava Regional Council was established in accordance with the decision of the plenary meeting of the nineteenth session of the Poltava Regional Council of the seventh convocation of April 12, 2018 No. 672 with the aim of promoting the development of domestic science and supporting talented scientists. The V. Vernadskyi Prize, who was the founder of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the National Scientific Library of Ukraine, is awarded to scientists who have done a lot for the development of the scientific potential of the region, which contributed and will contribute to the future reconstruction not only of our region, but also the state as a whole.
Previously, the Polytechnic scientist was elected as a coordinator of external communications at the European Council of Postgraduates, Doctoral Students and Young Scientists and became a participant in the Erasmus+ event dedicated to the art of dialogue.
