It should be recalled that the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" received comprehensive support from DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) and was selected for the Ukrainian-German project on Internationalization Management and German-Ukrainian Academic Cooperation for 2022-2023 "MOI Ukraine". Poltava Polytechnic became one of the 18 Ukrainian universities whose scientists were awarded a grant under the program "Supporting the Internationalization of Ukrainian Higher Education Institutions – Advanced Training Program for Administrators of Ukrainian Higher Education Institutions in the Field of Education and Academic Management (2022-2023)" to meet the needs of German-Ukrainian academic cooperation.
"We are sincerely glad that despite the introduction of martial law and active hostilities on the territory of our country, the Faculty of Philology, Psychology and Pedagogy of the Poltava Polytechnic continues its fruitful activities in the field of establishing German-Ukrainian academic cooperation. Our university, as one of the best classical institutions of higher education in the country, demonstrates its readiness to meet today's difficult challenges with dignity, and scientists are extremely constructive in fulfilling their tasks.
We are sincerely grateful to the friendly team of like-minded people of the Poltava Polytechnic and personally to the rector, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko, for the assistance and support of our initiative to participate in the German-Ukrainian project and the opportunity to worthily present our university, chosen among the best universities in Ukraine. We highly appreciate the responsibility entrusted to us and work diligently to popularize the scientific and educational brand of our university in the modern European integration space," – commented the Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Psychology and Pedagogy of National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Anna Aheicheva.
During March 15-25, 2023, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of General Linguistics and Foreign Languages Halyna Talovyria took part in the second offline seminar on the management of the higher education internationalization within the framework of the development of Ukrainian-German academic cooperation with the support of the DAAD, which took place in the German cities of Bonn and Hanover. For about a year and a half now, the scientist of the Faculty of Philology, Psychology and Pedagogy, who won a DAAD grant for participation in the project on internationalization management and German-Ukrainian academic cooperation, has been working in partnership with representatives of the Leibniz University in Hanover on the development and further implementation of an individual project for the development of the university's internationalization.
As part of the seminar, the teacher of the Poltava Polytechnic improved her skills in building German-Ukrainian academic cooperation on real cases of activities of German educational foundations, attending a series of international trainings at the Leibniz University in Hanover.
The rich program of the international event included regular presentations of individual projects, intensive individual and team work, familiarization with the activities of the DAAD (German Federal Agency for Academic Exchanges), the DFG (German Research Foundation), the Fund for Financing Talented Scientists of the Volkswagen concern and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. The "highlight" of this scientific and educational event was the Conference of Rectors of Germany (Hochschulrektorenkonferenz, HRK), at which scientists from various European countries discussed the specifics of implementing projects for the development of the internationalization of Ukrainian universities.
Summarizing the effectiveness of fruitful scientific and educational cooperation of leading Ukrainian and German institutions of higher education, it is appropriate to quote the statement of the outstanding researcher and thinker Alexander von Humboldt, who said: "A truly great desire for a goal is half the success in achieving it." Despite the full-scale invasion of the aggressor country, Poltava Polytechnic has become a "university of life", which harmoniously combines domestic and foreign educational innovations, dynamic development and high European quality of education.
Earlier, the Polytechnic scientist presented innovative and educational achievements of the university to her colleagues in Lower Saxony, and presented the innovative, scientific and educational activities of the Poltava Polytechnic at the EAIE-2022 conference-exhibition in Barcelona.
Recently, a scientist and a student of the Polytechnic have completed an internship to teach Polish with a component of emotional regulation, the director of the German language school "StartDeutsch Schule" Markus Peuser has held interactive master classes for future translators, and the Polytechnic scientists advanced their qualifications under EU programs in the field of sustainable, inclusive and smart community development.
