From September 30 to October 1, 2022, in Lower Saxony, scientists from leading German universities together with representatives of the world academic community held a number of scientific, educational and professional events dedicated to the celebration of the Days of Ukraine. The large-scale scientific event brought together teachers, scientists from leading European institutions of higher education, concerned citizens, ready to provide maximum humanitarian aid to Ukrainians affected by russian aggression.
A scientist of the Faculty of Philology, Psychology and Pedagogy of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” – Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of General Linguistics and Foreign Languages, Halyna Talovyria was an active participant of the Days of Ukraine in Lower Saxony. She presented the scientific and educational activities of one of the best Ukrainian classical universities, innovation center of the Poltava region at the poster exhibition of leading European higher education institutions. The representative of the Poltava Polytechnic gave detailed answers to the questions of foreign colleagues and exchanged contacts with scientists from leading German universities.
Within the framework of the event, the international training “Management of Higher Education Internationalization” took place, where the Ukrainian group met with the non-governmental association of Ukrainians of Lower Saxony and discussed possible means of helping our fellow citizens forced to move to Lower Saxony due to the russian-Ukrainian war. During the establishment of a constructive dialogue, the representatives of the European community also discussed ways of further cooperation, exchange of achievements of teachers of higher education institutions of Lower Saxony and Ukraine.
“In my firm belief, such scientific events and meetings with the participation of world-renowned scientists, teachers, and caring Europeans will create the necessary public resonance, draw additional attention to the problems of Ukrainian higher education, the life of Ukrainians in war conditions, and provide answers to a number of key questions, in particular how to effectively help a nation struggling for its own independence and territorial integrity.
Our university clearly has something to say to the world academic community, as we have a number of significant achievements and are ready to share them with foreign colleagues, borrowing the best European practices as well as successful scientific and educational cases. During the communication with the participants of the training, I talked about the situation in our country, shared the experience of the university’s cooperation with the best educational institutions and business brands, and established partnerships with colleagues from other Ukrainian cities. I sincerely thank you for the trust and honor to represent Poltava Polytechnic at the international level,” – commented participant, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of General Linguistics and Foreign Languages Halyna Talovyria. Recently, the scientist presented the Poltava Polytechnic at the EAIE-2022 international educational conference-exhibition in Barcelona.
It should be recalled that the Poltava Polytechnic joined the international educational project “Ukraine Global Faculty”, signed a trilateral Memorandum of Cooperation with the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Education and Science, and Naftogaz of Ukraine, and the university opened the first Center for Education and Care of Preschool Children in Ukraine on the basis of a higher education institution.
Previously, Polytechnic scientists presented success stories of participation in Erasmus+ projects, a philologist scientist shared the opportunities and advantages of volunteer programs of the European Solidarity Corps, and another Polytechnic scientist became a laureate of the "Renewable Energy Award".
