Polytechnic scientist wins DAAD grant to participate in internationalization management and German-Ukrainian academic cooperation project

Poltava Polytechnic received support from DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) and was selected for the Ukrainian-German project on internationalization management and German-Ukrainian academic cooperation for 2022-2023 “MOI Ukraine”. For the next year and a half, the scientist of the Faculty of Humanities will work in partnership with representatives of the University of Leibniz in Hanover on the development and further implementation of an individual project for the development.

National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” became one of 18 Ukrainian universities awarded scholarships under the program “Support to the Internationalization of Ukrainian Higher Education Institutions – Advanced Training Program for Administrators of Ukrainian Higher Education Institutions in Education and Academic Management (2022-2023 years)” to meet the needs of German-Ukrainian academic cooperation. For the second time, the project is being conducted by Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in partnership with Leibniz University in Hanover.

“The staff of the Faculty of Humanities is extremely grateful to the administration of Poltava Polytechnic and personally to the Rector, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko for assistance, support of our initiative to participate in the project and the opportunity to represent our university, chosen among the best universities in Ukraine.

Therefore, the scientific events in 2022 at the Faculty of Humanities coincided with the launch of the Ukrainian-German project for the development of international cooperation “MOI Ukraine” with the support of DAAD. One and a half year – this is how long the project will last, will be full of new knowledge and practical skills in organizing cooperation with German universities,” – commented the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Anna Aheicheva.

On January 12, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of General Linguistics and Foreign Languages Halyna Talovyria took part in the first online meeting of representatives of 18 Ukrainian universities and project coordinators from the German University of Leibniz in Hanover. In a few hours, the coordinators presented a lot of useful information and an interesting discussion took place.

The structure of the program includes online barcamps, regular online presentations of individual projects, intensive individual and team work, short internships, as well as 3 online workshops and 3 offline workshops, two of which will take place in Germany and one in Ukraine.

Previously, the scientist of the Faculty of Humanities participated in a German-Ukrainian conference organized by the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD as well as participated in the project to improve economic literacy and knowledge of labor law under Erasmus+, and students along with teachers of the Faculty of Humanities took a course in academic integrity.
