The III International Scientific Symposium "Sustainable Development – the State and Prospects" will take place from January 26 to January 29, 2022, in Slavske (Lviv region, Ukraine). The organizers of the symposium SDEV’2022 were the Lviv Polytechnic National University, the Viacheslav Chornovil Institute of Sustainable Development, co-organizer – All-Ukrainian Ecological League.
Participants of the event were lecturers and PhD students of the Department of Applied Ecology and Nature Management of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic": Head of the Department, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Olena Stepova, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Olena Hanoshenko and postgraduate students of the department Tetiana Hakh and Liudmyla Tiahnii.
The theme of the symposium covered five main areas:
- Ecology and Sustainable Nature Management;
- Ecological Safety and Nature Protection Activity;
- Tourism and Hotel and Restaurant Business;
- Entrepreneurship and Ecological expertise of goods;
- Civil Security (work safety, technogenic safety).
At the plenary session, representatives of Poltava Polytechnic made a report on "The state of surface water bodies of Poltava region." Within the framework of the section "Ecological Safety and Nature Protection Activity" under the leadership of Professor Ihor Petrushko, a report "Assessment of the impact of vehicles on the atmospheric air of Kryvyi Rih" was made, prepared by O. Hanoshenko in co-authorship with M. Halaktionov.
During the symposium, scientists presented the results of scientific research, participated in discussions and ideas exchange on various aspects of sustainable development, as well as in the round table "Adaptation to climate change in the context of sustainable development" and eco-picnic.
It should be recalled that the acceptance of scientific papers for participation in the second round of the All-Ukrainian competition of student scientific papers in the specialty "Ecology" is underway, and the selection of students and young scientists for the Energy Community Summer School 2022 has started.
