National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” and Cherkasy State Technological University signed the Memorandum on Cooperation in the Education and Science and the contract on organizing student mobility program at both leading Ukrainian universities. The signed documents advance further the fruitful cooperation of the higher education institutions in education and science, their interest in the joined development of educational, scientific and innovative potential of the student youth.
“The leading higher education institutions of Ukriane unite their efforts. Besides providing high-quality education services and holding efficient scientific activities, we develop local academic mobility! There will be an opportunity for students to study a month or a semester at another university. They will be able to compare their experience, learn with different teachers, feel the atmosphere in different Ukrainian universities; this is unique and progressive. This is what university freedom means.
“For the first time in the history of our university, we held the signing of cooperation documents online. We are mutually interested in the joined development of educational, scientific and innovative potential, including the research activity. International partners are important, but we should also value our Ukrainian colleagues, and it is a great pleasure to exchange ideas, experience, and the best practices. We plan to organize joined educational and scientific events, forums, conferences, contests, seminars, summer schools etc. In the scientific field, we will develop further research within Ukraine, enhance the level of the theoretic and practical training of students, widen the opportunities of students to get experience of research and its implementation. Students, post-graduates and academic staff will have the opportunities for not only academic exchange, but also for further education, internship and scientific assistant training. Rector of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko, Vice-Rector for Scientific and International Affairs Svitlana Sivitska, Rector of Cherkasy State Technological University, Professor Oleh Hryhor, First Vice-Rector Artem Honcharov, and Vice-Rector for Humanitarian and Educational Affairs of Cherkasy State Technological University Valentyn Lazurenko were present at the signing ceremony.
“The signing of two important documents cover mutual exchange of post-graduates and the opportunity to receive European-level knowledge, communicate with the leading scientists of two, without any doubts, best universities of our country, borrow the best experience, and stimulate the students’ interest in scientific activity,” Rector of Cherkasy State Technological University Oleh Hryhor emphasized.
According to Svitlana Sivitska, Vice-Rector for Scientific and International Affairs of Poltava Polytechnic, the exchange of experience in the field of scientific and pedagogical work between the Ukrainian higher education institutions, the strengthening of the integration of education and science, the development of further scientific research within our country, the joined events on further education and internships will give the partner universities the chance to take up the leading positions among Ukrainian higher education institutions.
The contract on the organization of a mobility program between National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” and Cherkasy State Technological University starts a new stage at the history of cooperation in improving the level of theoretical and practical training of specialists at the partner university, enhances their opportunities in receiving the experience of holding research and implementing its research, as well as exchanging experience in science and teaching.
In March, Poltava Polytechnic signed memorandums on cooperation in education and science with Poltava City Council and the contract on creating in Poltava an innovative cluster together with the SIKORSKY CHALLENGE holding, and then the first technology and innovation support center in Poltava region opened at Polytechnic.
