The national team of Ukraine continues to confidently demonstrate excellent sports results at the European University Games – 2022 held in the Polish city of Lodz. As a reminder, students of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" participate in prestigious international competitions, representing the university in two sports – table tennis and kickboxing.
On July 18, 5 final kickboxing competitions took place with the participation of Ukrainian athletes who demonstrated a high level of physical fitness, sports endurance and the will to win as well as replenished gold and silver medals to the national team's sports awards.
Anthony Jirkins, a student of the National Institute of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Land Management of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", became a silver medalist at the European University Games – 2022 in kickboxing in the K1 section of the 75 kg weight category. The athlete demonstrated excellent physical abilities and a spectacular match in the final of the competition.
In general, according to the results of the third competition day, kickboxers Stanislav Vadichev, Zakhariia Dzhalilov and Svyiatoslav Khasiuk won gold medals. Silver awards were won by Ivan Osiian and Anthony Jirkins.

Previously, a student of the Poltava Polytechnic became the champion of the European University Games – 2022, and a graduate of the university won the gold award at the ХІ World Games – 2022.
