Student youth from different parts of our country demonstrated excellent sports results in different age categories at the Ukrainian Powerlifting Championships, which took place from February 13 to 18, 2023, in Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk region. The participants of the competition were boys and girls, male and female juniors who are taking their first confident steps in sports as well as experienced veterans who already have a number of awards in prestigious international tournaments. The athletes demonstrated excellent physical condition, a high level of training, and intense struggle.
Dariia Holovko, a student of group 401-NG of the Educational and Research Institute of Oil and Gas of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", took first place, having fulfilled the standard of the Master of Sports of Ukraine in the weight category up to 43 kg among female juniors. The athlete squatted with a bar weighing 125 kg, bench pressed 62.5 kg, and deadlifted 115 kg. As a result of the competition, Dariia Holovko gained 302.5 kg and won. The athlete also became the bronze medalist of the IPF junior women's absolute championship, receiving a total of 71.29 points.
The champion was trained by an experienced coach, Master of Sports of the International class of Ukraine in powerlifting, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports, Senior Lecturer of the Department of the Physical Therapy and Ergotherapy of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" Oksana Hordiienko, under whose wise guidance a whole constellation of professional athletes was trained. Earlier, under her leadership, Dariia Holovko became the European champion in powerlifting and the world champion in powerlifting among female juniors.

Previously, Polytechnic teams won the All-Ukrainian Sports Billiards Competition "Free Pyramid", the Poltava Region WAKO Kickboxing Championships, the Open Kettlebell Sports Championship of the Poltava Region, and the ISKA Poltava Kickboxing Cup "TATAMI STYLE IN POLTAVA" were held at the Polytechnic.
