A student of group 401-EO majoring in 071 Accounting and Taxation of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Yurii Shenhur became a gold medallist of Paralympics 2024, having won the 100-metre backstroke.

The Paralympic Games 2024 took place in Paris, and the sports fans were pleased to see the athletes of the Poltava region winning honourable awards.

A student of group 401-EO majoring in 071 Accounting and Taxation of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Yurii Shenhur successfully made his debut at Paralympics 2024, winning a gold medal in the S7 class (serious physical disabilities) in the 100-metre backstroke. In the finals, the athlete of Poltava Polytechnic became the best, covering the distance with the result of 1:09.51 minutes.

We congratulate him, we are proud of him and wish him good health, inexhaustible strength, inspiration and future victories on his way to conquering sports Olympus!

It should be recalled that during the Paralympics 2024, Polytechnic graduate Yevhenii Bohodaiiko won a bronze medal, and students of Poltava Polytechnic Denys Ostapchenko and Oleksii Virchenko became gold and bronze medallists.
