Polytechnic students became silver and bronze medallists of the European Arm Wrestling Championship

Students of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Veronika Hrechana, Daryna Tatarko, Serhii Varych and Ruslana Symonenko became silver and bronze medallists of the European Arm Wrestling Championship among Youths, Veterans and Para-Athletes, which was held in Bratislava (Slovakia).

Polytechnic students became silver and bronze medallists of the European Arm Wrestling Championship

From 2 to 12 May 2024, the European Arm Wrestling Championships among youths, veterans and para-athletes took place in Bratislava (Slovakia), with more than 1000 athletes from 25 countries participating.

As part of the national team of Ukraine, students of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” showed excellent sports results and replenished the treasury of honourable awards.

Silver and bronze medals were won at the prestigious sports tournament:

  • among juniors:

Veronika Hrechana – bronze medal for the right hand;

Daryna Tatarko – silver medal for both hands.

  • among adults:

Ruslana Symonenko – bronze medal for the left hand.

  • among para-athletes:

Serhii Varych – two bronze medals.

Already in August, 2024, students of Poltava Polytechnic will be competing for the National Team of Ukraine at the World Arm Wrestling Championships to be held in Chisinau (Republic of Moldova).

It should be recalled that earlier Polytechnic students became the winners of the Ukrainian Arm Wrestling Cup.

Recently, the Open Workout Tournament was held at the Polytechnic premises.
