Polytechnic students become participants in the second International Virtual School at the leading Polish partner university

Students of the Educational and Research Institute of Oil and Gas of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" Liubov Bezdudna, Mariia Zaitseva, Viktoriia Komarevtseva, Anna Shcherbak, Olha Prudnik and Anastasiia Tyshchytska became participants of the second International Virtual School on the basis of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow. During the week, future professionals will be attending scientific and educational events on the basis of the Polish.

Students of specialty 103 "Earth Sciences" of the Educational and Research Institute of Oil and Gas of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" Liubov Bezdudna, Mariia Zaitseva, Viktoriia Komarevtseva, Anna Shcherbak as well as students of specialty 185 "Oil and Gas Engineering and Technologies" Olha Prudnik and Anastasiia Tyshchytska became participants of the second International Virtual School operating on the basis of the leading Polish partner university – the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow (AGH UST).

As part of the international educational project, from May 13 to 21, 2023, future professionals will attend practical-oriented lectures from leading scientists of the oil and gas industry from all over the world, and the head of the Department of Drilling and Geology of the Poltava Polytechnic, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Yurii Vynnykov will also share useful practical cases with listeners from different parts of the world.

"Our university is actively integrating into the European educational and scientific space by signing agreements on scientific and educational cooperation with foreign partners and intensively participating in international programs and academic exchanges.

During the week, on the basis of the Academy of Mining and Metallurgy in Krakow, female students of the "Earth Sciences" and "Oil and Gas Engineering and Technologies" specialties of the Poltava Polytechnic will have the opportunity to attend practical lectures on fundamental research in energy, modern trenchless technologies, plate tectonics, paleogeography, paleoceanography, etc. We hope that the new colossal experience will come in handy when mastering the extremely necessary professions of petroleum engineer and geologist," – commented the experienced scientist. 

On May 11, on the basis of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", the participants of the program in the format of an online conference joined a motivational kick-off meeting, during which the organizers presented the program. The participants also attended a lecture "Modern trenchless technologies, construction and reconstruction of gas pipelines" by the head of the Department of Drilling and Geoengineering of the AGH University of Science and Technology, Professor Jan Zay, and the head of the Department of Drilling and Geology of the Poltava Polytechnic, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Yurii Vynnykov.

It is worth noting that the participants of the second International Virtual School were students of 16 universities from 10 countries of the world, including leading Ukrainian higher education institutions – National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, Lviv Polytechnic National University and Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

The main goals of the program are to support long-term cooperation between the universities of Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan, as well as to expand the offer of intensive international educational programs implemented in a hybrid format.

It should be recalled that the project is implemented under the program of the National Agency for Academic Exchanges (NAWA, Republic of Poland) – Intensive International Educational Program SPINAKER on the basis of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow.

Recently, a master’s student-translator studied at NAWA's Summer School of Polish Language and Culture, and six Polytechnic students became participants in the Polish SPINAKER scholarship program.

Previously, the participants of the long-term academic mobility program in Greenland shared their impressions of studying and getting to know the cultural flavor of the country, female Polytechnic students study the activities of European business brands under the academic exchange program at a Romanian university, and female Polytechnic students study under the Erasmus+ academic exchange programme at the Bialystok University of Technology.
