One of the winners, student of group 301pNH of ERIOG of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Vice-President of Student Chapter of Society of Petroleum Engineers Dmytro Kliuchka shared his impression about the competition, “I wanted to challenge myself and submitted two articles on very different topics for the jury’s consideration. I was the only participant, both of whose works passed the competitive admission. One was about the ammonium salts, and it was based on the real facts and results of experiments, which was mentioned by the jury. It is the basis of my student research article. The other described the world tendencies and certain conclusions on them. This competition was a great chance to understand whether the results of my scientific activity were interesting for the industry and business representatives. Beside the questions, all the participants hot great pieces of advice, which I personally will use in the future.”
“While drawing the results, the jury gave a special consideration to the possibility of introducing the presented ideas into the real life, and how useful they would be. Every participant deserves to be called a Petroleum Leader, since they were not afraid of the critics and presented their thoughts and ideas at this competition,” commented the organizers.
Independent Petroleum Leaders is an online platform at which specialists with great practical experience speak about various aspects of exploring, producing and refining hydrocarbons. According to the participants, their goals is to provide educational activity and exchange experience in realizing successful cases of petroleum industry. For the students, this is unique information they will never find in books. For the industry representatives, this is a chance to improve their prospective employees and to share their experience.
