"On September 1, our entire country will celebrate the Day of Knowledge. Unfortunately, due to russia's military aggression in Ukraine, not every child can go to their home school in their hometown or village.
Students support the slogan "education and science despite the war." We understand how important it is to ensure the right of every child to quality education in the conditions of martial law. Therefore, on the eve of the holiday, the volunteer headquarters of the Poltava Polytechnic organized the campaign "Volunteers gather kids to school" for children from families of internally displaced persons. The campaign and purchasing stationery kits for each displaced schoolchild in accordance with their needs became possible thanks to caring people, true patriots of their country," – said the founder of the Volunteer Headquarters of the Poltava Polytechnic Artem Loik.
Tetiana Chornozomova, Volodymyr Dubrovskyi, Karina Chornozomova, Oleksii Chaichuk, and Yakiv Kantsedal were awarded citations from the Volunteer Headquarters of the Poltava Polytechnic for their initiative, concern, active public position, financial support, assistance in approaching the Victory of Ukraine and participation in the "Volunteers gather kids to school" campaign.
Rector of National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko, came to meet the schoolchildren and congratulated them on the new academic year, wishing them peace, interesting lessons without air raid alert, perseverance and success in their studies.
"Dear children, what you wanted to get for a successful start of the new academic year is waiting for you. Take gifts and safely walk through the land of knowledge! Happy September 1st to you!
