Pupils learn about the professions of the future in the field of management and law

On April 25, academic staff of the Department of Public Governance, Administration and Law of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” held a practical webinar “Professions of the future in Management and Law” for schoolchildren of the Poltava region. Scientists and practitioners shared with young people effective life hacks and approaches to conscious choice of profession, discussed prospects for employment in local authority bodies.

Scientists of the Department of Public Governance, Administration and Law of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law of Poltava Polytechnic together with representatives of the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service in Poltava and Kirovohrad regions conducted an online webinar “Professions of the Future in Management and Law”. Schoolchildren and their teachers, mentors of educational institutions of Poltava region joined the discussion of topical issues of modern secondary and higher education, professional choice and employment of modern youth. The webinar participants received a lot of useful advice, exchanged life hacks and practical experience in gathering information about the chosen profession.

During the webinar, Candidate of Science in Public Administration, Associate Professor of the Department of Public Governance, Administration and Law at National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Inna Kulchii spoke in detail about the priority professions of the future in law and jurisprudence, stressed the important role of virtual lawyer, expert manager, project coordinator in public administration, emphasized the wide opportunities for training in legal specialties in one of the best educational institutions in Ukraine. According to the scientist, the future lies in creative, ambitious specialists, and Poltava Polytechnic will help graduates to acquire quality and innovative professions.

“Despite the difficult situation and military actions in Ukraine, university teachers continue to work with youth and provide effective practical advice in the field of professional self-determination, building the most ambitious scientific, educational and career plans. The chosen format of the event, the involvement of the most experienced specialists as well as professionals in the field of public administration and law, lively dialogue and openness to any kind of cooperation always demonstrate our readiness to work for a common result. We sincerely believe in the Victory of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and continue to form a generation of new Ukrainians who are ready to take responsibility and work honestly for the benefit of the native people and country.

In the future, the teachers of our department plan to continue cooperation with the communities of Poltava region, diversify forms of work, and after the end of hostilities in Ukraine to change online communication to the usual offline space and meet our entrants in the hospitable walls of Poltava Polytechnic,” – commented the scientist.

During the practical part of the event, Deputy Head of the Interregional Department of the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service in Poltava and Kirovohrad regions Artem Timoshchuk and Chief Specialist of the Department Roman Kholodkov acquainted student youth with peculiarities of employment in authority bodies and local self-governments. The “question-answer” format gave everyone the opportunity to debate, clarify the information heard and get answers to the most pressing questions.

Scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Public Administration and Law of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” invite to fruitful cooperation of teachers and graduates of general secondary as well as professional education of the Poltava region, to participate in joint scientific, educational and professional events, conferences, round tables.

It should be recalled that the Poltava Polytechnic has a legal clinic, and the university has organized a reception of specialists of social security bodies for internally displaced persons.

Previously, scientists and community representatives discussed the legal aspects of environmental protection, students were told about the experience of leading territorial communities of Poltava region, and Gromadka commune head told students about municipal government in Poland and possibilities for development of communities.
