In this international project I was the ambassador of the higher education system of Ukraine and represented the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”. I am extremely glad to see our Polish and Ukrainian colleagues as well as friends of our university!

Even in a pandemic, cooperation is evolving and we are continuing our mobility as well as participating in joint projects. For 5 years in a row on the basis of Poltava Polytechnic we have been holding a joint powerful international conference “Student youth is the driving force of the state”, which is always attended by representatives of student self-governments of Polish universities.

The strategic priority of personnel policy of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” is the development of young scientists. The university has an effective system of attracting and motivating young scientists to manage the university, its educational, scientific, innovative, and international activities.

At the university, 15% of scientific and pedagogical staff are young scientists, and, taking into account the number of PhD students, the percentage of young scientists is 36%. Young scientists are actively involved in the university management system, in particular 50% of the Vice-Rectors are young scientists, and 25% of the Rectorate as well as the Academic Council of the University are young scientists.

Every year young scientists of the university become winners of the President’s Prize for Young Scientists. The university has 21 laureates of the President’s Prize for Young Scientists. In 2020 and 2018, young scientists of the university became winners of the Award of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for Young Scientists and Students for the best scientific work. Over the last few years, 5 young scientists have been awarded Scholarships for Young Scientists by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Our university is open to interesting joint projects and initiatives for the benefit of our universities and will help develop friendly relations between Ukraine and Poland! I thank the colleagues for interesting communication, exchange of experiences and practical cases that will help our youth build a successful scientific career and continue to develop our universities!” – said Rector Volodymyr Onyshchenko.
