On the occasion of International Volunteer Day, the rector of National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", Doctor of Economics, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko awarded the most active members of the Poltava Polytechnic Volunteer Headquarters. Due to the air alarm, the meeting took place in a shelter.
"While the air defense worked 100%, we were in the shelter – everyone who, since the first days of the war, when the Volunteer Headquarters of the Poltava Polytechnic was deployed, has already done a lot of good deeds and continues to do them.
It was the best place for a symbolic celebration of International Volunteer Day.
The fact that we are in the shelter today does not mean that we can be intimidated. This, on the contrary, makes us even more eager to do everything for the Victory of Ukraine!
A volunteer is an absolute call of the soul, a desire to help those in need. Each of us is doing our best to ensure that Ukraine wins the war as soon as possible, but there is a community of wonderful people who inspire others and are able to unite around great ideas. And today was a great opportunity to thank them.

Also, on the occasion of the holiday, a charity concert was planned for volunteers, which, due to an emergency blackout, turned into a poetic evening of indomitability with the head of the Center for Culture and Student Creativity of the Poltava Polytechnic, the founder of the Volunteer Headquarters of the Polytechnic, the famous rap artist Artem Loik.
Recently, volunteers of the Poltava Polytechnic University presented their experience at the "Winning Together" forum, future translators volunteered fuel for a unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, collected half a centner of food for the homeless animals shelter and walked its residents.
