National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” successfully cooperates with business and pays great attention to working with stakeholders. Within the framework of cooperation, the best specialists of Ukrainian and international companies conduct meetings, conferences, seminars for university students, participate in scientific and practical conferences and industry forums, and also involve the young students of the Poltava Polytechnic to undergo internships in the best oil and gas and service companies.
On May 30, on the basis of the Educational and Research Institute of Oil and Gas of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, a recruiting session was held by JSC “UkrGasVydobuvannya” for students of the specialty 184 “Mining” (educational program “Well Drilling”) and 185 “Oil and Gas Engineering and Technologies”.
The meeting with the students of Poltava Polytechnic was conducted by the Head of the Operational Efficiency Department of JSC “UkrGasVydobuvannya” Ivan Boiko and the Head of the Operational Efficiency Department of Drilling and Services of the Operational Efficiency Department of JSC “UkrGasVydobuvannya” Viacheslav Tuiakhov.
During the meeting, specialists of JSC “UkrGasVydobuvannya” presented the best practices of implementing lean production tools in the company's assets using the Lean methodology.
Stakeholders also shared the interesting experience of implementing Lean manufacturing on the examples of leading global companies and useful practical cases of the implementation of these tools in the activities of JSC “UkrGasVydobuvannya”. The above-mentioned technologies made it possible to significantly reduce the duration of unproductive losses of drilling technological equipment working time. The guests also familiarized the students with the importance of standardization and digitalization for the efficient operation of the enterprise.
The topic of the meeting aroused considerable interest among students, who actively participated in the discussion and communication in the “question-answer” format.
At the end of the meeting, the representatives of the partner company invited the students to a three-month internship in the operational efficiency team of the UGV-Service branch of JSC “UkrGasVydobuvannya”, as the end of which the best will have the opportunity to get a job in the operational efficiency department of JSC “UkrGasVydobuvannya” and the branches of the company “UGV-Service”, “Ukrhazpromheofizyka” and “Ukrburhaz”.
Earlier, a representative of the LLC “Ukrainian Energy Exchange” shared with students effective cases of anti-crisis management in the field of the energy market, a specialist of the JV Poltava Petroleum Company gave a lecture to future ecologists on waste recovery technologies, and Ukrainian Oil and Gas Academy Vice President Myron Firman gave a lecture to students of the Poltava Polytechnic.
It should be recalled that Weatherford Ukraine held a recruiting session for students and graduates.
