Resilience Day: Polytechnic scientist takes part in an international online summit

As part of the "Internationalization of Higher Education Management" project, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of General Linguistics and Foreign Languages of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" Halyna Talovyria participated in the online summit "Resilience Day" dedicated to the support of Ukrainian universities in war conditions.

Resilience Day: Polytechnic scientist takes part in an international online summit

On October 27, 2022, within the framework of the implementation of the international project "Internationalization of Higher Education Management", carried out under the program for the development of Ukrainian-German cooperation with the support of the DAAD and leading German higher education institutions – Leibniz University of Hanover and the University of Münster – an online summit "Resilience Day" was held, dedicated to active deliberation on issues of development and support of Ukrainian universities by German partners. More than 70 scientists from leading Ukrainian and foreign universities joined the constructive dialogue, discussed ways to support the full-fledged scientific and educational activities of higher education institutions in the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war and identified further prospects for the development of Ukrainian-German cooperation.

An active participant of the online summit was a scientist of the Faculty of Philology, Psychology and Pedagogy of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" – Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of General Linguistics and Foreign Languages Halyna Talovyria, who, together with her German colleagues, joined group discussions on issues of higher university education development in the face of deep socio-economic crises. The summit participants worked in several educational sessions, exchanged practical experience of working with student youth, presented useful scientific and educational cases, as well as identified priority areas for further partnership between Ukrainian and German universities.

Within the framework of the discussion, teachers and scientists from around the world discussed the essence of the concept of "resilience" and the range of specific practical proposals of higher education institutions regarding cultivating such resilience, providing real help to Ukrainian colleagues in war conditions.

"As part of the international project, I continue to actively familiarize myself with the system of higher education in Germany, present innovative, scientific and educational achievements of Poltava Polytechnic as one of the best classical universities at the international level, and improve my own professional competences as a teacher and scientist.

Issues of the higher education development, raised during active discussions, deliberations, exchange of scientific ideas, help to better understand the essence of the problem and find optimally convenient ways to solve the existing situation. I am sincerely grateful to the German partners, colleagues from leading European universities for useful cases, openness and comprehensive support of our country!" – commented the participant of the international project "Internationalization of Higher Education Management", Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of General Linguistics and Foreign Languages ​​of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" Halyna Talovyria.

Earlier, the philologist-scientist completed an internship at one of the leading German universities, presented the innovative and educational achievements of the university to her colleagues in Lower Saxony, and presented Poltava Polytechnic at the EAIE-2022 international educational conference-exhibition in Barcelona.
