Science Days 2022 start at the university

On April 26, at the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", an international event – Science Days 2022 solemnly began, which is implemented under the auspices of the North-East Scientific Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

From April 25 to May 21, Poltava Polytechnic will host events within the framework of Science Days 2022. Representatives of the scientific and student university community, young scientists, heads of scientific schools took part in the opening ceremony of the series of scientific events. The participants were greeted by the Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", Head of the Secretariat of the Committee on State Prizes of Ukraine in Science and Technology Vadym Stohnii.

 "Even in the conditions of hostilities and the fight against the Russian aggressor, it is important to remember to create favorable conditions for the development of academic and youth science, for which there is a great future. After all, it is scientists, practitioners and young professionals who will have to make a lot of efforts to rebuild and build our young European state.

Thanks to our defenders, we have the opportunity to continue our studies and conduct scientific activities. So today we started an important international event – Science Days 2022, which is implemented under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the North-East Scientific Center of NAS and MES of Ukraine.

Despite the blended format of the event, constructive dialogue, active discussion of the planned events testified the high interest of the academic community in combining professional and scientific achievements of leading Ukrainian and foreign scientists, creating innovations, being useful to the state and proposing new ways of development.

I express my sincere gratitude to everyone who, despite all the difficulties and troubles of martial law, continues to nurture the future scientific elite of the country on a daily basis, who continues to work in the rear for common results and a common victory!

I wish you success, interesting speeches and productive discussions!" – wished Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", Head of the Secretariat of the Committee on State Prizes of Ukraine in Science and Technology Vadym Stohnii.

Vice-Rector for Scientific and International Work of Poltava Polytechnic Svitlana Sivitska got acquainted with the rich program of scientific events, noting the high interest of the scientific community in the planned events.

During the month there will be 34 meetings of scientific sections and 6 plenary sessions of all-Ukrainian and international scientific-practical conferences, a number of scientific round tables and discussions. The planned events will bring together more than 820 participants, including 281 undergraduates and 65 postgraduate students.

Among the most significant events is the participation of young scientists of Poltava Polytechnic in the popular science event "Young Researchers Night-2022 during the war", the V International Ukraine-Azerbaijan Conference "BUILDING INNOVATIONS-2022": experience of postwar reconstruction of territories, round table on World Day for Safety and Health at Work on the topic: "Act together to build a positive safety and health culture ", round table "Topical issues of the oil and gas industry and energy security of Ukraine under martial law", 74th Scientific Conference of professors, teachers, researchers, postgraduates and students of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic". In total, 12 international, all-Ukrainian and university conferences are planned as part of the celebration of the Science Days 2022 at Poltava Polytechnic.

It should be recalled that the Polytechnic continues to lead among Poltava higher education institutions in the ranking of scientific activity, and recently representatives of the university took part in a scientific teleconference.
