“SCIENTIFIC FEST”: World Science Day for Peace and Development is celebrated at Polytechnic

On 5-8 November, the Museum of Science of National Centre “Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine” in Poltava Polytechnic celebrated World Science Day for Peace and Development with thematic educational and scientific events.

From 5 to 8 November, “SCIENTIFIC FEST” was held at the Museum of Science of National Centre “Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine” at Poltava Polytechnic to mark the World Science Day for Peace and Development.

Within the framework of the festival aimed at promoting science and peacekeeping initiatives, which annually brings together thousands of scientists all over the world, various master classes, interactive lectures and competitions were held at the Museum of Science of National Centre “Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine” in Poltava Polytechnic, allowing university guests not only to deepen their knowledge but also to put it into practice.

The events were joined by 11th year students of Poltava Secondary School No. 38, Poltava Educational Complex No. 16, Poltava Secondary School No. 11, 5th and 9th year students of Science Lyceum No. 3, as well as 9th and 11th year students of Sokolova Balka Secondary School and college students, etc.

The participants of the science festival took part in the “ROBORACE” robotics master class, the game lesson “Opening mathematical horizons with Polytechnic: coordinates and vectors”, the language cafe, the voiceover master class “Voice as a brand”, the massage and taping master class, the “ECO indoor climate” master class, as well as quizzes and competitions in the Science Museum. Finally, the guests visited the university’s new interactive location – a multimedia shooting range.

The festival was enhanced by scientific entertainment, which gave everyone the opportunity to test their knowledge and try their skills in competitions. The guides prepared various quizzes on natural sciences, technologies and general knowledge, as well as intellectual competitions using the museum’s exhibits.

Rector of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko met with the students, congratulated them on World Science Day for Peace and Development and handed them certificates confirming their participation in SCIENTIFIC FEST.

Participants received branded prizes, which became an additional incentive to develop interest in science among young people.

Earlier, during its 100 days of operation, the Museum of Science convinced visitors that science is fun and interesting, and during the period of its operation, the Museum of Science received more than 10,000 visitors.
