Scientists and stakeholders analyze the professional competencies of financial specialties graduates

On October 27, a working online meeting of teachers and students of the Department of Finance, Banking, and Taxation of the Poltava Polytechnic took place with a stakeholder of specialties 071 “Accounting and Taxation”, 072 “Finance, Banking and Insurance”, the head of the Poltava Regional Audit Department of the Regional Audit Office of the Department of Internal Audit of the joint-stock company “Oshchadbank” Yurii Artemenko.

Scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Finance, Banking and Taxation, students of specialties 071 “Accounting and Taxation”, 072 “Finance, Banking and Insurance” of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” and the head of Poltava Regional Audit Department of the Regional Audit Office of the Department of Internal Audit of the joint-stock company “Oshchadbank”, a graduate of Poltava Polytechnic with a specialization in “Accounting and Audit” Yurii Artemenko held an active discussion of the existing educational and professional programs for the practical training of specialists in the financial and economic sphere. The stakeholder presented to the participants of the online meeting a thorough report on improving educational programs in teaching auditing disciplines for students of specialties 071 “Accounting and taxation” and 072 “Finance, banking and insurance”, gave qualified answers to the most pressing questions.

As part of the working meeting, teachers, students and practitioners discussed the criteria for quality training of finance and accounting specialists, the conditions for field practice, internships for students and teachers, employment of economic specialties graduates.

The purpose of the effective educational and professional discussion was for the student youth of the Poltava Polytechnic to acquire modern competencies, obtain new practical knowledge, exchange current opinions, establish a constructive dialogue with practicing specialists, obtain appropriate programmatic results of the study of audit disciplines, and provide practitioners with the necessary recommendations for improving the content components of educational and professional programs.

Students of the Department of Finance, Banking and Taxation have mastered practical skills in conducting the audit procedure and expanded the range of theoretical knowledge of conducting audits obtained in university classrooms. According to them, such professional meetings certainly become an important practical addition to what has already been learned, positively motivate them not to stop at what they have achieved and contribute to the awareness of the importance of their chosen profession in the modern labor market.

Academic employees of the Department of Finance, Banking and Taxation of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” express their sincere gratitude to practitioners, stakeholders, partners of the university for comprehensive support, willingness to share practical experience with Polytechnic students and graduates, to promote the employment of talented youth.

It should be recalled that last year Poltava Polytechnic signed an agreement on cooperation with the State Audit Service of Ukraine.

Recently, future specialists got acquainted with the work of the Payer Service Center of the State Tax Inspectorate in the city of Poltava, and the marketing director of the “DebitPlus” company gave a lecture to the students about the features of automating financial reporting.

Previously, scientists and stakeholders named the eco-professions of the future, discussed tools for improving the quality of higher education at a seminar by NAQA, stakeholders discussed criteria for quality training and employment of specialists in international economics, employers discussed criteria for quality training of PhDs in economic specialties, stakeholders named professional competencies of future managers and provided recommendations for future scientists, stakeholders and teachers discussed ways to improve the training of specialists in physical culture and sports.
