Skovoroda 300: all-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference is to be held on the basis of Polytechnic on the occasion of the philosopher’s anniversary

From December 2 to 4, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Poltava RMA, the Department of Education and Science of the Poltava RMA and the Council of Rectors of higher education institutions of III-IV levels of accreditation of the Poltava region are holding an All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference "Modern receptions of worldview and value orientations of Hryhorii Skovoroda" on the basis of Poltava Polytechnic. Scientists, heritage researchers, local historians.

On December 2-4, 2022, the All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference "Modern receptions of worldview and value orientations of Hryhorii Skovoroda" will be held on the basis of the Faculty of Philology, Psychology and Pedagogy of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic".

Scientists and popularizers of the Ukrainian philosopher’s work, who was far ahead of his time, will have the opportunity to share their own achievements in the following areas:

  • Rethinking the philosophical ideas of Hryhorii Skovoroda in the conditions of the war in Ukraine;
  • Pedagogical legacy of Hryhorii Skovoroda;
  • Literary work of "Ukrainian Socrates" in modern discourse;
  • Life and creative path of Hryhorii Skovoroda: local history aspects;
  • Hryhorii Skovoroda in modern art.

The working languages ​​of the conference are Ukrainian, English.

Participation in the conference is free.

Based on the results of the conference, it is envisaged to prepare a collection of scientific materials, a collective monograph and a participant's certificate in electronic form.

To participate in the scientific and practical conference, it is necessary:

  • by November 20, 2022, submit materials for publications, information about authors to the conference organizing committee at the e-mail address: ludmila.cherednik@gmail.com.

Requirements for registration of conference materials are the following:

  • scientific materials with a volume of 3-5 pages are drawn up according to the following plan: relevance, purpose, research methodology and organization, research results, conclusions, literature;
  • before the contents of the materials, the name of the UDC is given (in the middle), on the right edge the author's name, place of work, e-mail address.

  • the author provides the electronic version of the materials to the address of the organizing committee. The electronic version is submitted in .doc format. Times New Roman font 14 size, 1.5 intervals; margins: left – 20 mm, top and bottom – 20 mm, right – 20 mm, paper – A4.

Note! The authors are responsible for the content and literacy of the conference materials. Scientific materials that do not meet the requirements and are sent after the specified deadline will not be considered and will not be returned.

Requirements for the paperwork and submission of collective monograph materials:

Sections of the monograph:

  • Chapter 1. Rethinking the philosophical ideas of Hryhorii Skovoroda in the conditions of the war in Ukraine.
  • Chapter 2. Pedagogical legacy of Hryhorii Skovoroda.
  • Chapter 3. Literary work of "Ukrainian Socrates" in modern discourse.
  • Chapter 4. Life and creative path of Hryhorii Skovoroda: local history aspects.
  • Chapter 5. Hryhorii Skovoroda in modern art.

The volume of monograph materials is 10–20 full pages of A4 format; margins: top, bottom, right, left 2.0 cm; font: Times New Roman, size – 14, line spacing – 1.5, width alignment, paragraph – 1.0 cm.

The text should be constructed in a logical sequence, without repetitions, with clear wording and in accordance with the stylistic requirements of a scientific text, without grammatical and stylistic errors.

In the center of the line, in bold type, is the surname and initials of the author (the number of co-authors is no more than three).

Below – in italics, the scientific degree, academic title, name of the institution (educational institution, organization), name of the city, name of the country.

On the next line – after one interval – the name (in capital letters in bold font in the center).

On the next line – after one interval – a short introduction, the main part, conclusions. Structural elements do not need to be highlighted.

At the end of the text – after one interval – there is a list of references (semi-bold in the center), at least 10 sources placed in alphabetical order.

References in the text should be made in square brackets to the corresponding source of the list of references, for example: [1, p. 33]. References in parentheses to various sources should be given with a semicolon, for example: [6, p. 109; 10, p. 23].

Figures, graphs, charts, and tables should be clear and compact, drawn up using Microsoft Word tools (Times New Roman font, size – 12, line spacing – 1.0).

Authors who have not received confirmation of receipt of materials by the organizing committee are requested to duplicate the application.

The organizing committee will consider only materials prepared in accordance with the requirements and submitted by the specified deadline.
