Song and dance ensemble "Poltava" performs on the stage of the Polytechnic for temporarily displaced persons

The Center of Culture and Student Creativity of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" hosted a concert of the Song and Dance Ensemble "Poltava" for the temporarily displaced persons living in university dormitories. The university staff also attended the performance and thanked the artists with a standing ovation.

On May 12, artists of the Poltava Regional Philharmonic, laureates of all-Ukrainian and international competitions, Song and Dance Ensemble "Poltava" performed on the main stage of the Poltava Polytechnic. The event was attended by Ukrainians who were forced to leave their homes and now live on the Polytechnic campus. The host of the concert was Honored Artist of Ukraine Nataliia Ivanchenko.

"Poltava artists continue to support defenders and displaced persons by giving their performances. Our songs and dances are beautiful, distinctive, their energy is incredible! Thank you for this celebration of Ukrainian culture! Glory to Ukraine!" – thanked rector Volodymyr Onyshchenko.

During the concert, the ballet of the song and dance ensemble demonstrated its choreographic performances, and the choral orchestra ignited the hearts of the audience with the performance of folk works: "Poltava march", "The Wind Blows on the Steppes", "Prayer for a Warrior", "Sorochyntsi Fair" (Honored Artist of Ukraine Nataliia Ivanchenko), "Poltava Dumplings", "Oh, My Mother", "Chubaturka Chicken", "Green Hay", "I Do Not Scold You Woman", "Dear Heritage" (Honored Artist of Ukraine Valentyna Kolisnyk), "Mariiechka", "Money in the Pantry", "Potpourri". The choirmaster of the ensemble is Honored Artist of Ukraine Larysa Baklanova.

"We are grateful to our soldiers, our defenders, for the opportunity to bring our talent to Poltava, welcome and support you. Everything will be Ukraine, we believe in it," – noted Nataliia Ivanchenko.

Earlier, artists of the Poltava Regional Philharmonic and university graduate Artem Loik dedicated their performances to victims of russian aggression, the Poltava Academic Regional Puppet Theater presented a fairy tale to displaced children, and Poltava theater actors performed an interactive performance for temporarily displaced families.
