"School of public servant" is a thematic schoolchildren and student club, which operates at the Department of Public Governance, Administration and Law of Poltava Polytechnic and works with gifted youth of the Poltava region. This time, the club was joined by pupils from Petrivsko-Romenska, Liutenska and Bezezovolutsk territorial communities.
The guest of the thematic meeting was Yuliia Pashkovska – an eco-activist, co-founder and executive director of the NGO "Ekoltava", a graduate of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" in the specialty "Civil engineering", who in 2021 received another higher education – the master’s degree in the specialty "Public Management and Administration". Yuliia shared her own experience of successful advocacy campaigns, told young people about the prospects and opportunities in the fight for a clean environment.
"Territorial communities of the Poltava region now more than ever need qualified managers and lawyers capable of overcoming challenges and solving the most difficult problems of economic, legal, social, environmental and digital development. National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" as an innovative and powerful scientific platform helps today’s graduates to solve the most pressing issues of sustainable development of their settlements," – said the guarantor of the educational and professional program in the specialty "Public Governance and Administration", Candidate of Sciences in Public Administration, Associate Professor Inna Kulchii.
The guarantor of the educational program in the specialty "Law", Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Iryna Pasichna told schoolchildren the features of the legal aspects of environmental protection. Students were also interested in the issues of garbage sorting, the possibility of obtaining grants in the field of ecology, and the issue of sustainable development of local communities.
"School of public servant" invites enterprising and caring young people to join the next meetings and create inventive projects for the development of territorial communities.
Earlier, a lecturer at the Faculty of Humanities of Poltava Polytechnic conducted a training on teamwork and conflict management, and a student-philologist took part in a youth exchange under the Erasmus+ program "No climate. No future", dedicated to threats and climate change.
It should be recalled that the NGO "Kremenchuk informative-elucidative center "European Club" selects 5 participants of the international youth exchange "STEP 2 Think Green", during which representatives of different countries will exchange views and practical experience in overcoming environmental pollution and its harmful impact on human health.
