Thanks to the international Twinning project, higher education institutions in England support Ukrainian universities in the conditions of a full-scale invasion by creating meaningful partnerships. The initiative is coordinated by Cormack Consultancy Group with the support of Universities UK International, the Presidential Foundation for Education, Science and Sport, and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” has been cooperating with the British university London Metropolitan University for a long time. And the partnership between higher education institutions within the international Twinning project is gaining more and more momentum, as the joint efforts make it possible to develop new areas of cooperation.
Vice-Rector for Scientific Work of Poltava Polytechnic, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Olena Stepova, Dean of Faculty of Philology, Psychology and Pedagogy, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Anna Aheicheva, and Dean of Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Lina Rybalko joined an online meeting with the management of the Faculty of Social Sciences of London Metropolitan University as part of the Twinning project.

Such meetings allow us to identify promising areas for further cooperation, expand our network of professional contacts and outline the main vectors of personal and professional development of students and teachers.
One of the strategic areas of cooperation between the universities is the support and physical rehabilitation of veterans. This demonstrates the social responsibility of higher education institutions and their contribution to solving current social challenges. Both universities see this area as a priority, developing joint initiatives aimed at providing psychological and physical support to people affected by military operations. Such cooperation not only contributes to the development of rehabilitation programmes but also helps to integrate veterans into modern society.
The Twinning project is a vivid example of effective academic networking that creates new opportunities for students and scientists, helps strengthen friendly ties between Ukraine and the UK, and deepens intercultural exchange. Thanks to the initiator of the project, Rector Emeritus of Poltava Polytechnic Volodymyr Onyshchenko, this cooperation became possible, and we hope that this partnership will continue to develop, providing quality education and support to those who need it.
Our strength is only in unity!
Also, scientists of Poltava Polytechnic joined an online information session for the universities participating in Twinning.
