The competition commission considered 437 papers in 11 thematic sections, received from 28 countries of the world – England, Austria, Albania, Bulgaria, Georgia, Estonia, Spain, Israel, Italy, India, Kazakhstan, China, Lithuania, Latvia, Morocco, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Germany, Pakistan, Poland, Slovenia, Serbia, Slovakia, the United States of America, Turkey, France, the Czech Republic and Ukraine.
141 higher education institutions participated in the event – 73 Ukrainian and 68 foreign ones. The number of contestants is 641.
For the specialty “Entrepreneurship, trade and stock market activity”, 33 scientific works were received from 24 higher education institutions in three separate thematic sections:
- “Tourist business”;
- “Enterprise Marketing”;
- “Business of enterprise administration”.
According to the results of the rating selection, the scientific paper of the student of the 1st year of the second level of higher education, majoring in “Entrepreneurship, trade and stock market activity” (501-EP) of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law Inna Bykova on the topic “Cost of production analysis and ways of its optimization on the example of PJSC ‘Electromotor’” won 3rd place among student works from Ukraine, Poland, India, Slovakia, Kazakhstan, Spain, Latvia, Bulgaria, Georgia and Estonia.
The paper was prepared under the leadership of Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Marketing of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Kseniia Chychulina and with the involvement of a foreign partner-professor, head of the Department of Tourism of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University (Georgia) Anzor Devadze. The paper was presented both in Ukrainian and English with relevant recommendations and conclusions to the research society.
Awarding of winners and an online meeting of Contest participants, their leaders and members of the contest commission took place on June 2 in the format of a zoom conference.
During the plenary session of the conference, the Rector of Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Mykhailo Zahirniak and the Rector of Poltava V.G Korolenko National Pedagogical University Maryna Hryniova congratulated the participants of the International Competition of Student Scientific Papers.
The results of the competition were announced by Iryna Trunina – the head of the sectoral competition commission for specialty 076 “Entrepreneurship, trade and stock market activity”, Doctor of Economics, professor of the Department of Business Administration, Marketing and Tourism of Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University.
“Thanks to our youth, who are trying to conduct research in such difficult conditions, charging us with optimism and thirst for life, we understand that all this is not in vain and everything will have its results. And, above all, we do everything to ensure that their future will be as good as possible,” – noted a member of the jury, Doctor of Economics, head of the Department of Tourism at Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics Olena Sushchenko.
The scientists and members of the jury thanked the students who, in extremely difficult conditions, showed their desire and demonstrated the result – unique scientific researches.
“All of us have gathered today under the auspices of development, popularization of science, involvement of the intellectual potential of students in the development of science, in the post-war, war recovery of Ukraine’s economy. Today’s competition is very important for the consolidation of the scientific community and the whole world around Ukraine. We set ourselves such a task, as it is a step towards the integration of Ukraine, and education, and science, and the economy, and tourism, because we strive precisely for a developed civilizational world and European space,” – commented professor of the Department of Hotel and Restaurant Business at KNUTE Myroslava Bosovska.
The contestants were also congratulated by Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration as well as the EU Jean Monnet Department of Sumy State University Leonid Melnyk.
“I would call your event a conference of expectations and hopes, which demonstrated that our Ukraine has preserved its social identity. Different participants are in different countries, but we are together in a single social environment. I am very pleased that we have taken another step towards Europe,” – said Leonid Melnyk.
The international competition of student scientific papers in certain specialties is held with the aim of integrating Ukraine into the European educational and scientific space, expanding international ties, stimulating the innovative activity of students, mastering modern technologies, creating conditions for the formation of the intellectual potential of talented youth, etc.
Earlier, the Poltava Polytechnic held an international conference dedicated to environmental risks and threats in the conditions of war.
