Members of the Committee on Education, Science and Innovation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the government draft law, the adoption of which will allow conducting an admission campaign based on the results of the NMT and the testing model presented by the Ministry of Education and Science on January 20, 2023. The corresponding decision was made based on the results of the profile committee meeting.
In addition, the draft law provides for the abolition of the state final certification of general secondary education graduates in 2023.
Based on the results of the draft law consideration, the committee members unanimously recommended that the Verkhovna Rada adopt draft law No. 8228-1, submitted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, in the first reading as a basis and as a whole. Two alternative parliamentary bills are recommended to be rejected.
After the adoption of the government draft law, the Ministry of Education and Science will approve the Procedure for admission to higher education in 2023, which will provide for conducting the NMT according to the model that was presented to the public on January 20, 2023.
As should be known, the Ministry of Education and Science, together with the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment, presented a model of conducting a national multi-subject test, based on the results of which the competitive selection of applicants for higher education in 2023 will take place.

It should be recalled that entrants will be able to choose specialties with different combinations of NMT, the average score of the certificate will not be used for admission, applicants from the occupied territories will enter remotely.
