“Ukrainian people are repelling the Russian occupiers, but many Ukrainians have been killed and the infrastructure demolished. Schools, kindergartens and other educational institutions were destroyed. As the war shows, education is a good tool for countering propaganda. Education should promote the values of peace, democracy, love and mutual respect,” – noted Executive Director Mykyta Andrieiev.
In a letter, the Public Council urges colleagues to address the governing bodies of the European Union, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and governments of the countries with the following requests:
- to secure the Ukrainian sky by sending peacekeeping aircraft;
- to expedite the exclusion of the Russian Federation from the United Nations Security Council, to introduce a UN peacekeeping contingent in Ukraine;
- to provide maximum military, financial and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
It should be recalled that the Council of the European Organization for Nuclear Research suspends cooperation with the Russian Federation and revoking observer status for Russia.
