According to the results of the competition rating, student of group 301pBAof ERIAC Bohdan Kostenko’s article “The ways of bicycle traffic organization at crossroads” has won in the second round of the All-Ukrainian Student Research Competition in Construction and Highway Operation, which took place at Kharkiv National Highway University. The author was awarded the first-grade diploma.
“The research article provides reasons to introduce cycling infrastructure in the road network of populated areas. Having analyzed national and international experience, the student defined the main points of bicycle traffic organization at crossroads. Analyzing the legislative data and real-life examples, he managed to find the most reasonable ways to organize different types of crossroads of cycling lanes and highways,” Lina Hasenko, his academic advisor, Candidate of Engineering, Associate Professor at the Department of Highways, Geodesy, Land Management and Agricultural Construction said.
