Three Polytechnic athletes become prize winners of the Championship and the European Cup in kettlebell sports

Students of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Oleksandr Tsybulko, Yelizaveta Myrna and Oleksandr Svyrydenko became gold and silver medalists of the European Championship and the European Cup in kettlebell sports held in Poland. Polytechnic athletes became the best in individual categories and fulfilled the standards of the Master of Sports of Ukraine in kettlebell sports.

Three Polytechnic athletes become prize winners of the Championship and the European Cup in kettlebell sports

On November 5-6, 2022, the city of Ostrów Wielkopolski (Republic of Poland) hosted the competitions of the European Championship and the European Cup in kettlebell sports, in which experienced athletes from various countries of the world took active part. The Ukrainian national team demonstrated high sports results in separate weight categories and replenished its treasury of awards with gold, silver and bronze medals.

Students of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Oleksandr Tsybulko, Yelyzaveta Myrna and Oleksandr Svyrydenko became gold and silver medalists of prestigious international competitions, winning convincing victories in spectacular matches against experienced and strong opponents.

Namely, student of group 201-FS, specialty 017 “Physical Culture and Sport” of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports at the Poltava Polytechnic Oleksandr Tsybulko became the gold medalist of the Championship and European Cup in kettlebell sports in the long cycle as well as the winner of the silver medal in dueling. According to the results of the competition, the second-year athlete fulfilled the standards of the Master of Sports of Ukraine in kettlebell sports.

Student of group 201-FS, specialty 017 “Physical Culture and Sports” of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports at the Poltava Polytechnic, Master of Sports of Ukraine, silver and bronze medalist of the All-Ukrainian kettlebell tournament “Pereiaslavska autumn-2022” Oleksandr Svyrydenko won the gold medal in the dueling competition in the weight category of 63 kg.

High sports achievements were also demonstrated by a student of group 201-FS of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Yelyzaveta Myrna, who also fulfilled the standard of Master of Sports of Ukraine in kettlebell sports. Earlier, the athlete became the silver medalist of the All-Ukrainian kettlebell tournament “Pereiaslavska Autumn-2022”.

The weightlifting athletes of the Poltava Polytechnic are trained by Master of Sports of International Class of Ukraine Mykola Tkachenko, whose disciples have repeatedly won awards and prizes in prestigious international tournaments, championships and European Cups in kettlebell sports.

Recently, Polytechnic students competed for the championship in sports billiards.

Previously, an athlete from the university won a silver medal at the Poltava Region Championships in freestyle wrestling among cadets, Polytechnic athletes became winners of the All-Ukrainian kettlebell tournament “Pereiaslavska Autumn-2022”, and freshman Vladyslav Shavyro won a gold medal at the Open Taekwondo Tournament “Pokalturnier Bretten”.
