The Academic Council of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” has made a historic decision (!) to improve the organizational structure of the university, in accordance with the Statute approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in December last year as well as its own educational traditions formed over two centuries.
Yuri Kondratyuk National University (abbreviated name according to the Statute) is a multidisciplinary, classical university founded on December 12, 1818 (this date is fixed in the University Statute)!!!
The oldest university in the Poltava region!!!
The central building of the university is an architectural monument of national importance!!!
At the stage of modern history, our university has been training specialists at the Faculty of Humanities for ten years.
I have personally received high praise from educational stakeholders, our university business partners, employers for quality training of document specialists, specialists in information activities, library and archival affairs, translators, foreign language teachers, and professional artists.
Philological training is at a particularly high level, and the conditions that were created for it are, without exaggeration, the best – language centers, simultaneous translation laboratory, language lab, state-of-the-art classrooms, technologies, and teaching methods.
Two years ago, the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy was opened at the university, which provides training for specialists in practical psychology and preschool education. The material and technical base is strengthened by a unique laboratory of psychodiagnostic as well as correctional and developmental work.
Director of the Department of Organization of the Educational Process, Accreditation and Licensing Oleh Maksymenko presented an analysis of the activities of structural subdivisions and a strong team of scientific and pedagogical staff. Based on this information, the university departments’ teams and the Academic Council of the University came to the conclusion – to improve the structure of university faculties, in accordance with the status of a classical university, which provides multidisciplinary training in various specialties, including teaching.
However, as it was two hundred years ago, as the students of the Institute for Noble Girls studied in various disciplines and received the right to teach.
Therefore, I present an updated structural subdivision of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” – Faculty of Philology, Psychology and Pedagogy!!!
We keep traditions! And we are confidently moving towards an innovative future!

Dean Anna Aheicheva commented on the changes on the basis of the Faculty of Humanities, noting that the change of the faculty’s name and the transfer of the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy to the Faculty reflects changes that have continued the university’s educational traditions and its main goal to provide quality education. Modernization of structural subdivisions of the Yuri Kondratyuk National University is a confirmation of its status as a classical university as well as constant quality improvement of training of specialists in a wide range of profiles.
The enrollment for bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the specialties of the Faculty of Philology, Psychology and Pedagogy has been opened.
