Rector of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Volodymyr Onyshchenko was a speaker at the VII International Industry Forum “Enhancing the Production of Hydrocarbons at the Oil and Gas Fields of Ukraine” and delivered a presentation titled “The Realization of Joined Projects with Investments of Poltava Polytechnic with Business”. Cases of successful realization collected by university over a long period of time and in fruitful cooperation with the leading oil and gas companies of Poltava region created conditions as favorable as possible for high-quality training and employment of the oil and gas specializations graduates of Poltava Polytechnic.
This year, Rector’s speech was different from the classic, generally approved standards of professional presentations and speeches; the participants of the forum had an opportunity to remember everyone’s contribution to the update of university facilities, to review the pages of the first investment projects,, and to hear the thankful words for the faith in the dynamic development of our university, considerable financial hep and support in high-quality training of the oil and gas specialists.
The priorities of National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” include building a close cooperation with the representatives of the leading Ukrainian and international oil and gas companies, attraction of new business partners, realization of innovative projects with investments and the growth of the academic potential of the regional student youth. Poltava Polytechnic is a great example of one of the best higher education institutions which invites business representatives to the high-quality training of specialists, and proves the success of the formula “science+education+business+government”.
“The systematic and effective realization of projects with investments in order to modernize the facilities of our university has become the mutually beneficial form of partnership between National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” and the leading oil and gas production companies over the last five years. It has become a good tradition to open new locations, innovative education and production centers and laboratories during each industry forum, and this forum is no exception. Together with the business representatives, we have just opened the CyberRoboLab Education Center at our university, which was presented to us as a gift to the 90th anniversary of National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” by the Burova Tekhnika STE and its Director General, Head of Supervisory Board of our university Vitalii Vitryk. Its a modern innovative laboratory of robotics presented by Ukrnaftahazservis and its Head Ihor Vitryk for the development of our students’ skills in robotics and mechanics. Such business projects make for comprehensive improvement in quality of the training of oil and gas specialists,” Volodymyr Onyshchenko, Rector of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” said.
An example of the multi-vectored cooperation of Polytechnic with the representatives of business structures is the successful realization of joined projects with investments. More than one and a half dozen of leading Ukrainian and international companies have become partners of our university and invest money into the future of the oil and gas business. Powerful leaders of the industry, such as Weatherford Ukraine, Siemens, Schlumberger, DTEK Oil and Gas, Wellsite Digital, Ukrhazvydobuvannia, LLC “Burova Tekhnika STE”, Ukrnaftahazservis, Ukrnafta, FIDMASH Group, Geo-Alliance and Geosynthesis Engineering, invest into the uptade and modernization of university's facilities by opening new powerful scientific and educational locations.

Rector Volodymyr Onyshchenko awarded special commendations to the heads of the companies who believed in the possibilities of our university and invested into its dynamic development, and these investments are efficiently used today.
Unique figurines were given to graduate of our university, Director General of Geosynthesis Engineering Ivan Poletuchii, representative of DTEK Oil and Gas Ivan Hafych, Director General of Wellsite Digital Ihor Vitryk, Director General of LLC “Burova Tekhnika STE”, Head of Supervisory Board of our university Vitalii Vitryk. The representative of Weatherford Ukraine also received an elevator model printed at the 3D printer that the company presented to our university.
The Schlumberger company was mentioned separately with thankfulness, as it invested into the creation of the 3D visualization and 3D modeling laboratory, as well as Siemens, which opened the Educational and Scientific Center of Control and Automation Systems for Oil and Gas Production Processes one and a half year ago.
“The first project of Polytechnic and business realized in 2016 was the laboratory of muds opened together with Geosynthesis Engineering and DTEK Oil and Gas. Besides, DTEK Oil and Gas created a laboratory of specialized information systems and technologies at Poltava Oil and Gas College in 2018. And on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", the company presented a large LED-screen for the Center of Culture and Students' Creative Activities,” Volodymyr Onyshchenko said.
According to representative of partner-company Ivan Hafych, Poltava Polytechnic has become a traditional powerful ground for the community of specialists from not only Poltava region, but from the whole country, to gather. “I would like to thank the university administration for finding the magnets that attracts the best professional and scientific people of the region.
It is necessary to understand that Poltavshchyna has for a long time needed a powerful higher education institution that trains new professionals for our industry, so the companies should be supportive and help the university in order to create a powerful oil and gas training ground at the university.”
“During the V International Industry Forum, together with Wellsite Digital we opened an innovative training center for education and certification of oil and gas specialists. Our plans include creating an even more powerful center, new modern laboratories at Poltava Polytechnic. The innovative possibilities of the newly opened CyberRoboLab include building and preparing robots to participate in the international competitions in robotics. We are now gathering the university team to represent the region and business partners at the contests. Another news at the forum was the multimedia language laboratory IDL created together with LLC “Burova Tekhnika STE”, since the knowledge of foreign languages is another step towards a prestigious job and employment at international oil and gas companies and Ukrainian companies with foreign investments. A collective 3D Printing Center was also created at our university, and the base for the modern unique equipment was the 3D printer presented to us by Weatherford Ukraine, actively used in scientific and educational activities.

During the VI International Industry Forum, Rector spoke about the wide range of possibilities for applying the scientific potential on the example of the university’s cooperation with the leading oil and gas companies of Ukraine.
