Kremenchuk Town Cultural Centre hosted the annual Multi-regional Specialized Exhibition “Education and Career”, organized by the Kremenchuk Division of Poltava Trade and Industry Board with the support of Kremenchuk town hall executive committee, the Department of Education of Kremenchuk town hall executive committee, the Department of Education, Family, Youth and Sports of Kremenchuk District State Administration, and Horishni Plavni town hall. During the exhibition, the representatives of higher education institutions presented to their prospect enrollees the features of institutions, enrollment and studying conditions, explained the whole variety of scientific-educational programs.
National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” was represented by Faculty of Humanities Dean, Candidate of pedagogic sciences, the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Associate Professor Anna Aheicheva, Candidate of technical sciences, the Department of Automatics, Electronic and Telecommunication Senior Lecturer Ruslan Zakharchenko, Candidate of technical sciences, the Department of Reinforced Concrete and Stone Constructions and Strength of Materials Associate Professor Natalia Pinchuk, Director of Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics and Management, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Iryna Chernysh, Deputy Director for scientific work and international activity of Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics and Management, Associate Srofessor Iryna Krekoten’, higher category methodologist of Educational and Research Centre of Working with Students and Talented Youth Svitlana Revenko and methodologist Yulia Levenko.
Prospective students familiarized with 16 higher educational institutions of Ukraine and Poland. “Avers-Express” Ltd and “Scientific centre “European Didactics” Company participated there, too, as the centre is a Ukrainian producer of educational means and equipment for science classrooms, STEM-laboratories and didactic resources for the New Ukrainian School.
According to the Faculty of Humanities of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Dean Anna Aheicheva, the youth were interested in the specifics and advantages of studying at a classical university at such specialties as “Philology”, “Informational, Library and Archival Studies” and “Secondary Education”.
“We discussed the possibilities of internship abroad, participating in exchange programs, perspectives of further employment with their parents. The direct communication possibility makes for the youth understanding that they can study at a prestigious innovative university in Ukraine and have the opportunities to study abroad, and that quality education is a beneficial investment in one’s future,” said Anna Aheicheva.
“Participation in the exhibition gave us bright impressions and new acquaintances. Hopefully we helped the school graduates to make their first serious choice of life,” added higher category methodologist of Educational and Research Centre Svitlana Revenko.
Such events fulfill the educational mission, and communication with professionals contributes to youth’s career decisions, their conscious life choices.
