XV All-Ukrainian Scientific Festival Started at Polytechnic

On April 22, Poltava Polytechnic ceremonially opened the large-scale all-Ukrainian project on the popularization of science in the society, the XV All-Ukrainian Scientific Festival and the 73rd Conference of Professors, Academicians, Teachers, Post-Graduates and Students of our university.

XV All-Ukrainian Scientific Festival Started at Polytechnic

From April 21 to May 14, 2021, the All-Ukrainian Scientific Festival will be held at our university and it will traditionally be closed on the Science Day in Ukraine.

The XV All-Ukrainian Scientific Festival and the 73rd Conference of Professors, Academicians, Teachers, Post-Graduates and Students of our university was opened by Doctor of Economics, Professor, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine, Laureate of the State Award of Ukraine in Science and Engineering, Rector of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Volodymyr Onyshchenko and Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Member of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Chief Scientific Employee of the Department of Physical Electronics at the Institute of Physics of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Member of the Supervisory Board at National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Anton Naumovets.

“We preserve our good old traditions despite the lockdown and ceremonially open the XV All-Ukrainian Scientific Festival online. Scientists of our university have many achievements that they are eager to share with the student youth. During these three weeks, we will take part in interesting scientific discussions, round tables, conferences, workshops and presentations,” Rector Volodymyr Onyshchenko said.

Professor, Academician Anton Naumovets greeted the academic community with wise words and mentioned the considerable personal contribution of every scientist into the growth of Ukraine’s scientific and educational potential.

“I am happy to see that the traditions of holding annual festival has been continued since we founded the first Science Day in 2007. Your university has for many years been holding large-scale scientific events, the number of participants at which is constantly growing. Congratulations to the whole academic body of the university for such great scientific achievements, and wish you further successes in the development of scientific activities at your university! More than two dozens of joined projects realized with the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine allow us to say that Poltava Polytechnic cherishes and multiplies its scientific traditions. You inspire talented youth to do science and aspire for new knowledge, creating motivation for innovative development of our country.”

For many years, National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine support the traditions founded with the signing of the contract on cooperation with the previous President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Borys Paton.

We continue our fruitful cooperation with new President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Anatolii Zahorodnii, and that puts a great responsibility on us for educating the future intellectual elite of our country,” Rector of Poltava Polytechnic commented.

“Since the science festival is a presentation of the scientific works, the joined research with the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, everyone can join the discussion and listen to the leading scientists from all cross Ukraine and from China, Croatia, Poland and Azerbaijan. This year, school students of Poltava will also join our festival and present their articles during the I Scientific Conference ‘Philology in the View of Youth’”, Vice-Rector for Scientific and International Affairs Svitlana Sivitska added.

Within the XV All-Ukrainian Scientific Festival, 12 international, all-Ukrainian and university-level scientific events are planned, including the 73rd Conference of Professors, Academicians, Teachers, Post-Graduates and Students of National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", during which 33 scientific sections will be working, 38 sectional and 6 concluding meetings will be held, and 590 presentations will be delivered.

The V All-Ukrainian Conference “Creation, Operation and Reparation of Motor Vehicle Transport and Construction Machinery”, the VI All-Ukrainian Conference of Students, Young Scientists and Academicians “Architectural Drawing in the Context of Professional Education”, the round table “The Main Problems and Prospects of Intellectual Property Protection: World Cafe”, dedicated to the World Intellectual Property Day and held together with the recently opened technology and innovation support center, the I Scientific Conference “Philology in the View of Youth” and other large-scale events.

The young scientists of Polytechnic will participate at the Young Science Night 2021, a scientific event organized by the Young Scientist Board by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. In total, approximately 1,5 thousand participants will take part at the scientific events, almost one-third of which are young scientists, among other participants are 450 students, 52 post-graduates, school students of Poltava and the region.

The university’s great scientific achievements and the openness to innovations is highly valued by international experts. In April, National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” was included in the list of the ten best Ukrainian universities in the THE Impact Ranking 2021, published by the Times Higher Education, which once again proved the leadership of our university in Poltava region.
