The Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine invites young scientists from leading higher education institutions to take part in the annual competition “Young Scientist of the Year”.
Contest participants are young scientists defined by the Law of Ukraine “On Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activity”. Both young scientists and groups of young scientists have the right to be nominated in the competition (in accordance with the nomination requirements).
Among the tasks of the competition:
- recognition of young scientists for their contribution to the development of science;
- recognition of young scientists for their contribution to the promotion of science;
- recognition of young scientists for charitable and public activities;
- recognition of young scientists for achievements in activities that contribute to the further development of Ukrainian science and the growth of Ukraine’s potential;
- recognition of young scientists for their contribution to the protection of the interests of Ukraine;
- recognition of young scientists for raising the authority of Ukraine at the international level.
A participant can become a laureate in no more than two nominations. Provided that if the nominee claims victory in three or more nominations, s/he is given the exclusive right to choose two nominations in which s/he will become a laureate. Achievements of young scientists are counted exclusively in accordance with the conditions of a specific nomination for 2022 only.
