For the second time, the Poltava Region hosted the “Youth Leader of the Poltava Region” competition, which aims to identify, support and encourage youth leaders who contribute to the creation of socio-economic, political, organisational and legal conditions for self-determination and realisation of the creative potential of modern youth in the interests of society.
Specialist of Centre for Culture and Student Creativity of Poltava Polytechnic Yaroslav Perederii won in the nomination “Development of Volunteer Youth Movement” among the representatives of civil society institutions (NGO of Poltava Regional Branch of Borys Oliynyk Ukrainian Cultural Foundation). The graduate of the multidisciplinary classical university successfully presented the results of his volunteer activities, focusing the jury’s attention on engaging young people in public activities, increasing their social responsibility and creating conditions for successful self-realisation.
“Youth has always been a driver of change. Poltava region is home to many young people with an active civic position who want to develop the region and improve the lives of their communities. I was once again convinced of this. There were many promising, creative projects and initiatives in various fields,” – said Deputy Head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration Volodymyr Vasylenko.

Earlier, a scientist of our university became a bronze winner of the All-Ukrainian Contest of Teaching Excellence of Out-of-School Education Institutions, the SPE Student Chapter of Poltava Polytechnic received the award of the European Regional Directorate of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) “The Best Student Chapter in Europe”, Polytechnic and its partners won the “Digital Europe” contest and received a grant to create a hub for the development of Central Ukraine.
It should be recalled that a scientist of Polytechnic was awarded for her significant contribution to the development of nature conservation in the Poltava region, athlete of Poltava Polytechnic Liudmyla Luzan won a silver medal at the Olympic Games 2024, a teacher and students of Poltava Polytechnic became winners of the European Bench Press Championship, and master’s students of Poltava Polytechnic became gold and silver medallists of the Ukrainian Dragon Boat Championship.
